disappointed purchase although drawings are decent. The book paper is quite thick, most unusual for any book I have bought in the past. First opened page is a disclaimer...not a step-by-step drawing book or a book that tells how or what to draw. Almost no precise detail of pencils, colours used.....technique details are little thumbnail items.Bought on Amazon a potential purchaser cannot review inside the book until the purchase is finalised so it can still be used for ideas but being A5 in size and for some reason quite stiff to fully open, probably due to the binding construction for holding the thick pages together, I would not expect to be using the book for reference in the future.

As a beginner in art I think this book is fantastic. I've received it today and flicked through and it gives a nice amount of detail about each medium and technique. I will find this really useful as I start to try new techniques with a view to improving my very basic skills. The book itself is laid out nicely with great illustrations.Recommend.
