Not bad but not as easy as videos make it look
When I saw a video of one of these, I just had to get one. They make it look a lot easier in the video. I imagine they went through a lot of watermelons to get that good! A few things to be aware of: it's really easy to squeeze the handle when you are trying to cut the watermelon so your slice gets narrower and narrower as you cut through the melon. To prevent this I put a little lid inside the handle when using it and it helped somewhat. You still have to cut the watermelon in half to use this, so you can't avoid making a mess altogether, but it does cut down on a lot of the mass, so would be handy on a picnic or something where you don't have a big cutting board.

Kitchen knives give much better results and it's already in hand to cut watermelon ...
4 of us have tried it with no sucess. The tool colapses on each stroke. Kitchen knives give much better results and it's already in hand to cut watermelon in half.

This of good quality and cuts very easily. I'm sure with practice I will get the method down. I just would like a little more control in the handle. It's a little too easy to accidentally squeeze the handle while you're cutting and wind up with a curvy cut. Maybe increase the resistance on the handle just a bit so it takes a little more than a little grip to compress the blades.
