Lifesmart EZcool Single Port Indoor/Outdoor Portable Air Cooler for 250 Sq Feet

I actually got this unit to use in the travel trailer when we are dry camping and I cannot use the regular air conditioner . To tell you the truth I have not had to use it yet in the hot southwest summer...by the time it arrived the hottest weather here in the southwest had already broken and during the camping trip we did go on with the unit available it rained in the evening every day we were camping...So all I needed were 12 volt fans to keep the trailer cool during the day...Also it probably would not have worked well either due to all the humidity in the air.... Also there is no 12 volt adapter included with the unit and the manufacture suggests in the manual that the unit needs to be grounded properly using the included adaptor for 120 volt use in order to operate properly...I had hoped to use the unit on 12 volt but I also have a small generator that I can use for 120 volt. The generator I have is not powerful enough to run the condenser on the trailer unit in hot hot weather but should be powerful enough for this unit.... Whether this unit can cool in hot hot dry weather I have yet to see....Also the unit is larger than anticipated it sits almost 2 feet high and 13 inches across at the base so it does take up some room but if it works it will be well worth the extra space it takes up....

I'm not going to say that this is completely useless. The problem is that it advertises the ability to cool a 250sq.ft. room. I was trying to use this in a mini office that's about 6x10ft. 60sq ft. It was a dry day. I filled the water. Made sure that the cap was on nice and tight. The only place it cool was 3ft in front of the nozzle. It blows a mist of water that settles on your skin and the air rushing across would evaporate it and cool your skin. This is no different than spraying yourself with water and standing in front of a fan. As far as cooling the air in the room, it may have lowered the temp a degree or two, but it also made it a lot more muggy. So it actually felt a bit warmer and uncomfortable. If you're looking for a close-range evaporation skin cooler, there's a dozen products on Amazon that sell for a third as much. Or buy yourself a nice fan and a spray bottle.

Works well but I’m only giving 2 stars since it doesn’t last as long as they claim on the box. You get 4-5 hrs at most when the water is filled to the top.

To start, the user manual warns not to overfill, but there is no visual indication of water level so for long term operation you basically have to fill it till it's overfilled, then empty some. Worst of all, this thing leaked water from every seam. No cooling, just water all over the place. Can't get this thing returned fast enough.

Product does not cool.. fan works but the water part of the system only worked for 5min & has never worked again

I owned one of these before and it lasted one summer before it started leaking. This new one didn't last 5 minutes before it leaked all over. Amazon should demand they fix this products problems before offering it for sale on the site, or are they just re boxing defective products and reselling them>???

Horribly loud. Tried to use in our bedroom and almost unable to sleep. Very hard to fill and doesn’t seem to “cool the air” at all. Very disappointed. It’s not often that I totally regret a purchase, I don’t really believe items will work like they say, but this one is one of the exceptions: totally regret it. Would have tried to return but had already thrown out the box.

This is the worst product ever. It didn’t even work. Got a replacement and that didn’t work either
