Would have absolutely given this mirror 5 stars unless you intend to mount it on a Harley.I am more particular than most and the mirrors are mounted on my HD superglide on which I have detailed the frame, built the motor, repainted all the tin, new set etc. A one year project.I live one block from the ocean so chrome does not last nor does the bare steel ball around which the mirrors rotate. The main reason I purchased these mirrors is because they are aluminum. I put a magnet to them and found that not only are the mirror and stem aluminum as advertised but the ball and fitting that hold the mirror to the stem are stainless steel. Also the glass is perfectly centered with an even gap to the mirror frame so repainting if it ever became necessary would be a simple matter. Even the bolt that fastens the mirror to the bike is s/s. Oddly some of the other fasteners that I did not need including one washer was not.The problem with them on a HD is that unless the mirror is rotated far to the back of the bike which would restrict the view and almost cover the grips the edge of the square arm hits the brake master cylinder. The mirror is of such a high quality that I was worth the trouble to modify the master cylinder to fit the mirror. I took a dremel tool and shaved some aluminum off the housing then sanded and painted the master cylinder. One could round off the corner of the stem instead but it is easier to repaint the master cylinder than the mirror.

Better view... but vibrating issue
I bought this to flip my mirror under my handlebar of HD Breakout. It did NOT go well... So I install them as you see in the pic. it stretches out little further than the stock mirror, so it resolves "shoulder view mirror" issue. It has one major issue and one minor issue. The first issue is, it vibrates like crazy, almost impossible to see when it's vibrating. Especially at night, headlights of the car behind looks donut shape/circle of light if you will.Secondly, I have tried to flip the mirror underneath the (HD Breakout) handlebar.firstly, it did not go well since it is not fit without entender. Secondly, after installing with the extender, can't adjust the view angle of the mirror to see the backside, not the ground. You know what I mean. I use them anyway cause at least it is not showing my shoulder, and it is better off for my safety than 'shoulder only' mirror. If you are looking for Breakout flip mirrors, then this is not your option!

Vibration vibration Vibration
Let me start it by saying that the mirror itself is great, which is why it got two stars and not one.More than anything I bought and returned this particular set of mirrors because of the vibrations in the glass. The mirror is very stylish and looked well on the bike, but that is where it ended. Once you started rolling through the gears, you really couldn’t see behind you due to the level of vibration in the mirror itself. I would not recommend this mirror to be bought for anyone other than a trailer queen bike that is for show only, and even that would have an even more stylish mirror.

Great mirrors! Sleek and super strong!
These mirrors are great on my 93 Nighthawk 750! Do NOT be fooled by the $20 or less version of these mirrors. These are the real deal. They are all metal, and have one of the strongest mirror ball joints Ive ever used. All without being bulky or having huge hardware on the back. The stems are nice. Getting them tight on the mounts is tricky, but you just have to tighten things down and they wont budge. As far as the view, they are a TAD skinny. But, if you spend some time adjusting them, you can clearly see both lanes on either side. Rear view is, however, almost non-existent without moving your arms. But I would rather be able to glance down and see traffic on the sides for lane changes, and I feel these do that well. A quick tuck of the left elbow shows me what is behind. Ill buy these again if I ever need new mirrors!

Great mirrors, difficult fit
Bought these to replace the bizarrely, inharminously cheap and ugly stock mirrors on my 2008 BMW R1200R, which is a pretty standard, middle of the road bike in terms of size and riding position. The mirrors came with the appropriate hardware for installing in the factory location, but were pretty much completely unusable in that position; they sit very low, and due to the short arms (which was part of the goal, granted) cannot be adjusted enough to be functional, even though the adjustability is pretty good compared to other aftermarket mirrors. After home install, I had to take my eyes off the road and completely lean down and way over in order to see behind me, which was far more difficult and dangerous than just quickly turning around in the seat. Now frustrated, I dug around and found some mirror extenders from my last bike, but couldn't figure out how to incorporate them with the supplied parts, so I took it to the dealer and explained my situation. BMW tech ended up also complaining about having to hunt for various parts to make the mirrors attach correctly, and ended up with one mirror sitting higher than the other due to this issue, but once they were on... the mirrors actually look and work great, plus they're easy to adjust but don't move at all on their own, hence the 4-star review despite the above detailed difficulties installing.I suspect that they would be an easy install for a chopper or cruiser style bike with a much more relaxed riding posture (i.e., further back from the handlebars/instrument cluster), also suspect they would not work at all for more aggressive riding position "crotch rocket" type bikes. As long as you're prepared for that, they're actually a great product once they're on and in the right location.

BEST MIRRORS I'VE SEEN FOR MY 2015 INDIAN SCOUT!
I have ordered many different mirrors for motorcycles and these are the most amazing quality, price, and look. I don't know why anyone would waste their money on anything else out there. They are built like a tank, stay exactly where you last positioned them, and the tint definitely helps with the headlight glare from other cars. I would buy these and suggest them to others any time.
