SOG-TAC XR Blackout Partially Serrated

First I have been a long time SOG Knife lover and have owned probably 20 or 30 of them through out the years. But I have to say I was let down by this one. Usually when you open a new knife especially one that costs $70 or more it is sharp. This knife was dull. I hope that once I sharpen it which I still don't think a new knife I should have too, it will hold an edge.

Was on sale (still relatively cheap when not). It's sharp, has good ergonomics and the quick flip works awesome. The thumb screw method is a bit rough for me on this one, but the quick flip is my go-to anyway. It's a little bigger than some EDC options, but it's still a very usable size and it's my EDC for about a month now. The blade is sharp and sturdy and no issues with build quality. It's everything I expected and what was advertised so can't knock it one bit.

This knife is built like a tank. Great fit and finish the lock works great very sharp out of the box. The handle scales have a great texture and the pocket clip holds the knife secure and it rides deep. Very fidget friendly drives my wife nuts.

I have 3 other SOG knives and multi-tools along with three other brands. Out of all of them this SOG-TAC XR Blackout is the best of them. It is easy to use, both opening and closing. It is made of a very high quality steel and came with a hair shaving cutting edge. When you also include the lifetime warranty that also covers sharpening, you can't do much better than it.
