Recieved quicly but unfortunately the home button is not working

Fortunately, my iPad Air display screen was not broken. Only the outside touch screen glass was shattered. A much lower cost part. The part purchased here works well so far and seems to be good quality. However, there is no instruction at all and that prompted me to write this review so other can avoid the one mistake I did.The iPad Air Gen 1 touch glass replacement was not hard but tedious. When removing the broken screen, be really careful not to cut into the antenna like I did in the picture. Using the box cutter to remove the old screen was easier to separate the glue but the large blade can accidentally cut into things. Keeping the cutting blade more retracted would reduce from unintentional cutting. The antenna are located in lower right and lower left of the iPad.After putting in the new touch screen, don't glue the screen down yet. Use some clear tapes to hold the new screen temporarily into place and use it for a little bit to make sure everything is functional.Good luck!

Love the adhesive around so you can just press and go. good fit and work well. Have to take away one star for no adhesive for the home button cable. It's almost to get it in the right place when closing up the screen. Very easy to pinch the home cable, I have to remove the corner just to get the home cable just right. Good price for the product.

Installed in 2 hours .spent most of the time to remove the broken glass and cleaned the trim . the actual installation to the new glass took less than 1/2 hours. Connectors and glass fit on fine. There is a unnoticeable 1/64" gap on one side after the installation completed which doesn't bother me. The glass appears clear and function well. The pre mounted home button is nice but some how not flat on the bottom side when touch. Please note there is no tools included in this kit which I saved a few dollars. I will get this again if I need one in the future.

Good quality. No real visible gridelines. I have read reviews saying that a lot of these screens ghost, however ghosting is not a manufacturing defect it is an installation defect. Ghosting generally occurs when the screen flex cables are not folded properly. Problems with these screena do occur with adhesion because they sit in the warehouse and can be old so the adhesive does not stick very well sometimes, this is solved by using additional double sided tape or b-7000 adhesive

The home button did not work, and upon inspection the ribbon cable running from the home button did not appear to have the same circuitry as the original cable. Contacted seller for help but got radio silence. Did not feel like going through the hassle of returning this and then having to waiting for a replacement screen which will probably not work either (the cabling appears to be different from the original). So I cannibalized the original home button plus ribbon cable for this digitizer and glued it onto this screen to make it work. With all of that effort, it's working fine now. I'll note that my iPad Air model number was listed in the product description, so this was supposed to be a direct replacement. Pro: it was cheap. Con: will require extra work and a spare home button and cable if you want to use it.
