Initially I was very happy with the purchase, looks strong, easy to use and wrap around the equipment. However, this evening my bikes were stolen as they cut through the chain like it was butter. The d-lock is left as strong but the chain, I WOULD NOT USE FOR SECURITY, is not worth risking your valuables.

Recieved this afternoon, ordered as I live in a flat and although we have a place to store bikes, nextdoor use it as a dumping ground. This will be used to attach to a post and fence out front as myself and my partner just got two bikes. I wanted this to attach to post and be long enough in order to keep our bikes at the side of our flat.. seems like it will be fine for the job.It seems to be well constructed (However) it's not 5.0m as suggested in the title, it's 4.5 meters (See pics) but for what I need it doesn't matter I don't think (But won't know till later) when I start to use it for its intended use.

This fits right through my mountain bike so I know the front wheel is as safe as the back and my saddle two. It’s really is easy to wrap it around you bike to keep all parts safe. It’s very flexible and well protected so it will not damage your valuable pride and joy.If you value your bike, this is a must. I have recommended these well made product to 5 of my friends. And I’m so impressed I’m going to buy a second one to use on my Gas BBQ in the garden.

I purchased two to be used in conjunction with two shackle locks. They were only purchased as an additional deterrent and to give a little extra security to my wheels.Ultimately if somebody wants to cut through them then they will but they’ll find it much harder to get through the shackle locks that secure the frame. If you intend to just buy one of these and use with a padlock I wouldn’t recommend as they simply wouldn’t be of a heavy enough gauge to deter a thief.Use them wisely and they help. Use them on their own and your bike won’t be yours for long.SB

This is a very sturdy lock with multiple uses, I personally use it as a lock for my bicycle in an area where there is a lot of theft. I was very surprised about the length when I first looked at it, as I had not realised it was 5m long - this turned out to be a great benefit though, as I can loop it through both bike tyres and still have room to attach it to something, like a pole or bicycle rack.
