After installation, press the test button for 5 seconds,the detector will give out sound. 4.Inhaling a puff of smoke/cigarette and blow out it towards the smoke sensor. Repeat this step several times untill the red light flashes, then the detector will beep loudly to alarm. (NOTE: The testing must be done under a relatively closed environment.
