Delicious, nutrient dense
Tripe is extremely rich in nutrients and especially helpful for muscles and digestion. These dry pieces don't smell and my dogs love them.

They are Trippin' for TRIPE!
Looking for a super healthy treat that will make your fur babies kiss you in gratitude after they snarf them down? This is it, but you might not want those kisses until they get a breath treat!Personally, I don't mind the smell. That's probably because I occasionally get them the fresh stuff. NOT the white bleached tripe in some grocery stores. Tripe for my dogs comes in a frozen chub, usually found in natural pet food shops, and it is FOUL. Next to that, these smell pretty darn good, and to a dog it is heaven. Stinky heaven. It's awful, but just wash your hands after touching it. And hold your nose!Gently dried means you still get all those healthy enzymes. One of my 3 has had digestive issues, and tripe was part of what helped that settle down.Evangers makes excellent dog foods and treats, this particular product is a favorite.

Healthy treat
The heart is the healthiest organ you can feed your pets. I stay away from toxic liver treats. My dogs and cat love it. Expensive but worth it

Excellent treat.
Excellent treat for my dogs. They love it. It is smelly as all tripe so you'll want to wash your hands after handling it. I only wish it came in the container showed rather than a rather small bag.

Not for my small dog
I was searching for the freeze-dried Tripe that my 10-lb Pomeranian is so crazy for. I bought that at a pet store 250 miles from here, and contacted them to hopefully get some sent, but no luck. So onto Amazon we go.This was about the closest I could come up with, and none too similar. I knew Evanger's name, so I decided to give it a try.Wow. Stink-city is right. I've handled a lot of hideous things in the past, owning dogs and horses, and I've got to say that this is high on the list. I'd tolerate it if the dog liked it, but he doesn't. He actually reared back away from it, avoided the piece left in his bowl, and later on deigned to play with it, but not eat it. It was probably too hard for a dog his size to chew up anyway, even though I selected a smallpiece out of the bin.I guess I should be grateful that with his coat, he didn't decide to roll in it instead. It was not a total loss however, because I took it out to the horse barn, and a friend's two Aussies thought that this was 5-stars, and snarfed it down in 2 seconds. So 1 star from my Pom (who likes his food, but isn't food-driven) and 5 stars from the barn dogs who also enjoy fresh horse manure, hoof trimmings, and keep them away from the cat crap.I wouldn't be able to cut these with a scissors -- MAYBE with a tin snips. So if your dog doesn't chew well, or has a small and not very strong jaw, these might not be suitable for you. If your dog can chew through wooden sticks and such, no problem.

Good but Very Greasy
First time buying this product and my GSD is not too sure about it. The product comes in a small plastic container as pictured and there are large pieces of hard beef tripe that are very greasy. It is also very smelly and typically dogs love smelly stuff, but for some reason she's very hesitant about taking this. She normally loves tripe and she's on raw diet so having this beef tripe is not too far off her normal food. The only thing I can guess is that since it's very greasy (you have to break each piece in half since they're too big for one treat and my fingers get really greasy trying to break the hard pieces) and maybe that's the reason she's very reluctant!I can tell the quality of the product is very good, but due to greasiness and my shepherd's preference I will not be ordering this anymore
