Couldn't be happier
I have Yamaha side cases, but they're not big enough to hold a helmet. At times, it would be nice to have some lockable storage for it. Yamaha says not to use side cases and a top case together, but I thing they just say that for liability reasons. Not likely I'll overload my bike, but the top box will be for light weight stuff anyway. The case itself is very well made and seems to be water resistant enough to keep your stuff dry in the rain. There are a lot of great options for a top case, but I really wanted a factory Yamaha look. My side cases came with 3 locks and the lock is slightly different for the top case and it takes a different type of key. I used the inner lock mechanism from my side cases and fitted it to my ignition key. The top case sits directly behind me, so I don't think it would cause any additional wind drag unless I'm crouched down. You will need the mounting bracket, but this is a really great case.

Very Happy that I ordered this case
Thanks to Motorsport 👌So I order this for my 2020 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT even though Tracer comes with side cases they are not enough for meBut this is super big👍 now I can fit full size helmet and still have some room for extra jacket or raining gear. Case is very solid looks so pretty on the bikeShipping was very fast 3 days 👍thanks Moto Sport. I am glad I order it I love it. Lock instructions are included and takes 5 min to install the lock and I hope I will have no issues at all 👍

Major flaw!
Lock fell out after 1 week. Lock is easily replaceable but the LOCK ARM PLATE that was attached to the lock is not. Per the top case instructions - " part supplied with kit only and not available separately".That means you have to purchase a whole new top case if you lose this small piece.

Good top case
Good top case, but the lock fell out after a few months of riding. Cant seem to find a replacement lock anywhere.

Definitely a game changer
Definitely a game changer! Yes I like my fz9 be naked but I need some groceries lol. Anyways this definitely an up for me. My wife likes the back rest that is separate order. Helps her lean back and relax on red lights

Light weight and sturdy. Holds my lunch bag, 40 oz water bottle and small backpack for commuting. I love not having everything hanging on me while riding.
