Q: How do you use the laundry leaves?

Pretty simple. You take one or two of the leaves in whatever temperature water for the item to be cleaned in the sink. Take the leaves out with dry hands though! They dissolve and make a slightly soapy water. Use more leaves for larger or heavily soiled items. Wash by hand in the sink. empty then rinse them in clear water and hang not dry. Good for socks, underwear, a single item that maybe got a little something on it and you want to avoid staining (though I also carry a Tide stain stick for that with me especially when I travel - I usually wear home meals I eat out - LOL). Product works pretty well especially with smaller items. Just for use with items in a sink - not designed for a load of clothing though a whole package might handle a full load though I wouldn't try it!

Q: Is this good to be used in the washing machine

On the sea to summit website they answer this question and say that the leaves were formulated for use in a sink that holds up to 2 gal of water and commercial washers hold 50 so you can scale up your use of leaves. However, they also note that most washers have enough soap residue that you don't really need to add much for a load and could do laundry with 5-6 leaves. They say he sure to dissolve them first before adding to the machine.

Q: Is this product scented? If so, what is the scent?

I don't know if they market it as being scented but it does have a scent. I don't know what I would describe it as smelling like but as someone who is sensitive to scents myself I wasn't able to use them and had to give them away.

Q: Is there any point of these individual types of soaps when wilderness wash does them all? Is this "better" than wilderness wash?

Wilderness Wash is a very versatile soap that can be used for body wash, shampoo, detergent for clothes, washing pots/pans, etc... So in short, Wilderness Wash could essentially replace all of these. It just depends on the individual, or particular travel if they may want to choose to separate each type of cleaning out, maybe they like the leaves over the soap bottle, maybe the leaves packaging is easier to travel with, etc... Mainly comes down to preference.
