What an adventure!
Hungry for dragons, and after trying and failing with other books that somehow lacked the ability to make me 'bond' emotionally with the characters, in particular the dragons, I stumbled upon this series and was not disappointed. The tale told from many perspectives gave great depth to dragon (Kantri) and human (Gedri) alike, highlighting the differences between the two separated cultures that are destined to discover each other again. I was immersed in a many faceted adventure that took me rolling on a magical sea of highs and hardships, good and evil, not to mention betrayal and love. A devouring read! I will be looking for more from Elizabeth Kerner.

An amazing story
I am a big fan of the Pern books but this book is by far superior. Elizabeth Kerner has created a central character that is both feisty but also endearing to the reader. I am totally engrossed in this world. I open the book and I'm instantly transported to a world where dragons still live and demons are real.If you like Anne McCaffrey or Ian Irvine then you will love this book. All I can say to sum up is 'where can I get my own Kantri?'.

Dragon Mistress
This is one story which draws you in and hold you lovingly as you hurdle towards the cliff edge. This strong story compells you to surrender and Elizabeth Kerner does a wonderful job of having you begging and panting for the rest of the series. I have read this twice and will read it again because it is so beautiful a story. I would give more stars if I could. 10/10
