Green Lantern Earth One 1

If you like superheroes even a little then you should read this. I think this is the best green lantern story I’ve ever read and want more people to get their hands on this. If this were a movie it would be a standout from anything I’ve seen!

The new twists and story is really good. Seeing familiar faces but we a new take and in a different setup. Read it in one seat, which is bad, since I had to sleep early and now I’ve been trying to find volume 2.

It’s fantastic. A reimagined world that is interesting to read about. The art work is beautiful. It has great Star Wars vibes without just ripping it off. I definitely recommend for Sci-fi fans and green lantern fans.

He loves the book however we received and were charged for 2-3 of each of the books we ordered.

This book is like watching a movie. I loved the reinvention of characters we know so well. I am looking forward to the next book.

I absolutely loved Hardman and Bechko's take on the Green Lantern/Hal Jordan mythos. This is a refreshing, updated look at the classic Hal Jordan origin tale--familiar enough to veteran readers but not so beholden to the past that it feels stale or a mere rehash. The approach taken to GL in this adaptation is the sort of "modern" sci-fi approach that WB & DC film producers should pay attention to: grounded but not "dark" or gritty; fresh but not disrespectful of the broader mythos fans already know; and, engaging in the sense that the reader genuinely feels like they are experiencing this through the eyes of a relatable Hal Jordan rather than the wooden, doofish one we saw on the silver screen.

Take yourself back to the first Green Lantern stories back in the 1950's. Before the first astronaut. Before we went to the moon. This book captures a lot of the excitement the fans back in the late 1950's and -60's must have felt about Hal Jordan's adventures in space. This Hal Jordan is not a stranger to adventure, but he suddenly discovers that human beings are NOT alone. The revelation that there are entire worlds of beings is almost overwhelming. Then he finds out that once upon a time these many worlds had protectors (the Green Lanterns). It is enough to make his head hurt. But not for long.Then, he picks up the mantle of the fallen Green Lantern Corps and sets out to fix the galaxy!My favorite comic/graphic novel this past year.

This is a great way to start with GL world, great easy story to enjoy and start learning bout the lantern

Hal Jordan's journey to the ring is tedious. This book is about him facing challenges we've never heard about before. Beautifully written. CANT wait for more!!!
