Hate That Cat by Sharon Creech

My daughter read this book after reading “Love that Dog” in her 4th grade class. She loved the word play and enjoyed reading it out loud. I enjoyed listening, such a sweet and fun book.

Sharon Creech does a wonderful job again making poetry fun within this story. In "Love That Dog" the reader is impacted with the relationship between Jack and his dog. In "Hate That Cat" the reader is touched by the relationship between Jack and his mother. "Hate That Cat" is a heartwarming story even to those readers who may prefer dogs over cats.

I read this book when I was in 4th grade nowI’m a senior in high school and it brings back so many memories! Great for kids!
