Patons Yarn Kroy Socks FX Yarn, 2-Pack, Seashell Colors Plus Pattern

This yarn is thicker than most "sock yarns". I was going to return it, but decided to make a pair of "hunting socks" for my Granddaughter. They are knitting up really thick and will be warm. However, there is not enough yarn in 2 skeins to do a pair. I have toe-up socks on the needles and at the heel-turn, and I only have 1/3 skein left for the legs. I'll have to order 2 more.The colors are beautiful but the yarn sticks to itself and is a bit scratchy. Washing might soften it up a bit though.

I love knitting with Patons Kroy Sock Yarn...it just feels good as it slides through my hands. I'm so glad that the cost fits my budget. I have made hundreds of pairs of socks and they have all been gifts...I have never sold one pair. I am simply entranced with this new color and design: Seashell Colors ( see pic).

This yarn did the job well! I made a warm pair of wool socks and the yarn was easy to work without and I had no issues with it. Wool is scratchy so I wear socks underneath these that I made for extra warmth in the winter. From Minnesota.

Kroy sock yarn is my standby for big box store sock yarn. It’s very durable, knits to a tight gauge, machine washable and dryable.It’s not the softest yarn to knit with but with all its other good qualities it’s not a problem. Great color selection too
