Furniture has come a long way since the Eames and Jacobsens, and these breath-taking examples of contemporary industrial designs are proof. Furnish is a must-have overview of breaking furniture design for retail and private spaces, and more interestingly, where space converges with fine art. Two thumbs up.

it's 2015 and most of the furniture/ideas have not become furnishings,esp in North america. based on recent gander of interior decor magazines, the chintz & pawson modernism seems to be the norm. most of the furnishings seem to be based on DROOG's ideas of decor which may be fine for arty dutch/german couples but it will not fly here . just too weird.This book is a great example of why predicting the future is so dangerous and why people are very slow to change their habits. so from that point of view, it's a great book.

Furnish offers a complete overview of recent design. Beautiful visually through a bit short on actual content.

its a good book and i would recamed it to anyone who is interested in furnishing or looking into quirky designers

世の中には、安価な家具からとても高価な家具がありますが、この本に掲載されている家具は、とても実験的な要素が強いものを見る事ができます。安価な材料を使用して面白い家具を構築しているものもあり、すごく刺激を受ける事ができました。自宅にそのまま使えそうなものはあまり無いかもしれませんが、その分、非日常的な空間を楽しむにはとても良いです！私はこれまでに似たような本を多数購入しましたが、大抵は中だるみ感のある内容であることがほとんどです。そういった意味でも、最後まで飽きずに観る事ができるので、この本はベストな一冊だと断言できます！
