Bought after tick
I found a tick on my dog under her arm and was a bit horrified at how hard it was to remove without using the correct tools (this was my first tick encounter). The very next day, I ordered these off Amazon after reading quite a few reviews. So far, we haven't had to use them, but they seem very well made and are very packable in terms of taking them with us on hikes.

Ticks be gone!
This is one of those things you hope you’ll never need to use. I had a tick on my leg and squished it trying to remove it with regular tweezers, to the point i couldn’t have it identified. I got this set to keep on hand and thank God i did because a month later my daughter had a tick on the back of her neck. The tick came out perfectly and in tact. I was able to get it identified (male lone star tick thankfully!). The point on these helps you get really down close to the skin to pull the tick straight out. Ticks should only be removed by pulling straight out with tweezers (like these). There’s tons of info online about smothering or twisting the tick. DO NOT DO THIS. The tick can become agitated before it releases itself and could release its fluid (which could be infected) and cause that fluid to enter your body causing an infection. Just pull straight out!
