Fits and works, but I can't speak in durability just yet.

Boyfriend installed in my 98 Lincoln Towncar. Battery light had been flickering on and off since I got the car. Replaced the battery and that didn't do the trick. Installed this and the light has remained off ever since.

This new alternator fits and works nicely in my 1998 Grand Marquis. I had hard time identifying the root cause of starting trouble, but when I nailed down the issue with alternator, fix was easy to replace it, and it helped. Instructions were good too.

I am very glad that I bought this alternator, it fit on my crown vic just as the factory one I took off. It was half the price than my local auto parts store, after I installed it i had it tested and it works like it is supposed to. Thank you very much

Exact fit needed for my Marquis. Job took about 30 minutes. With a savings of about $300 from what local garage wanted for the job, it was time very well spent. All fittings and plugs were identical to the original.

This was a good value and it looked like a high quality replacement for my Marquis alternator. But it just didn't fit. I sent it back and paid nearly double to the local garage:-(. Amazon promptly reimbursed my purchase.

I installed this in a 98 Mercury Grand Marquis back in February. I've had some cheap replacement alternators which whine pretty loud, this isn't one of those. It outputs the correct voltage, doesn't whine, and hasn't died yet.
