Larson Certified Storm Door Revere Mortise Brushed Nickel Handle Set, Storm Door Handle Replacement with Keyed Deadbolt

I bought this to replace a handle on a Larson door purchased in 2000. It works fine. Disregard any reviews that say a strike plate wasn’t included; there is a strike plate in the kit. The kit has varying sizes of screws to fit the width of various sized doors. There’s a paper included to measure the width of your door to match up what size screws to use to attach the interior and exterior handle together. The width of my door fit the measurement to use the smallest screws. However, the smallest screws were a bit too long and resulted in the handles not fitting snug with the door and therefore were a bit loose. Solved this problem by using a couple of small metal washers (not included in the kit) on the interior side of the handle at the top and bottom screw positions. The washers bridged the gap and the handle is snug with the door. In my opinion, the kit is overpriced. I looked at replacing the door entirely, but not only have doors substantially increased in price, they also now don’t come with the handle hardware. The handle hardware has to be purchased separately. Replacing the handle was much cheaper since the door was otherwise in good shape.

The product was excellent. I was able to find just the latch assembly after I had ordered this and ended up not needing it. The seller was easy to work with.

My old Larson door handle aged poorly due to abuse from the outside elements and use, I guess? That alone is irritating, honestly. We have had the door for 6 years so this erosion seems very premature. Anyway, though still useable, I did not like the look and the old handle needed to be replaced.This set worked fine. The innards are different than the original so I ended up using everything in the kit, which I wasn’t planning for. Everything fit fine except the lock bar that goes from the inside handle to the outside handle was way too long. Consequently, I had to find a way to cut metal to complete the install. The kits provided screws of varying lengths to accommodate different door depths. Why not include a few of these bars for the same reason? Seems ridiculous. Once I got it cut (not easy unless you have proper equipment), all was fine.I don’t particularly like how they advertise on the outside now - pretty tacky. The original style didn’t do this and with what these replacements cost (especially after only 6 years), I don’t think I owe Larson any free advertising.Handles and locks work and the look is much improved so I am happy about that.

Had lost my keys to original and our handyman suggested this. It was less expensive to buy this and pay him to have installed. A Locksmith would have been much more costly. It looks great and I finally have keys.

Did take a little adjusting to the door for the new assy. to fit due to having a older door. But was overall a great value to replacing the entire door.

The media could not be loaded.  Very nice and tight feeling, although a few minor adjustments needed to replace original larson handle, this is the one you want!
