Right out of the box, this bottle cage was no good. It had a rough, almost "worn" look the carbon. I know it's UD carbon, so it's not supposed to have the "weave" that most people are used to when they think of carbon, but this looked like black plastic that had been partially sanded (some areas were kind of glossy, some looked scuffed) - terrible. However, I looked past this as it's not very noticeable from a distance of a few feet (it just looks black) and installed it on my bike anyway.Once installed I noticed it was too loose to hold my standard sized 20 0z bottles tight without them moving around and rattling in the cage. I also was going to forgive this, as this is my "2nd" cage on the bike, so I rarely would use this cage unless it's a super long ride. The third problem however was a deal breaker. After only a few rides of actually using the cage, the bottom clip that holds the bottom of the bottle failed, making this bottle cage useless. I've owned many bikes with many different bottle cages, this was the worst one to date.

I received mine today and was a bit upset at first when I discovered it came with mounting screws since at first I thought I would need hardware. I wanted to put it on the seat tube of my new bike and couldn't find any pre-drilled mounting points. I then double checked and found these located on another tube so I mounted it without any problem. Quality is top shelf and I agree with others that this cage is a bargain.The shipping was supposed to take up to 6 weeks but mine came in about 2 weeks so unless you're in a hurry, don't let this scare you away from buying it. As I said when answering a question above, the product description should include words to the effect that no mounting hardware is included so people who don't have pre-drilled holes on their bikes will know what to expect.

I bought these with a little hesitation, but I like the looks and they would match my bike perfectly so I took a chance. The first 3-4 rides, no issues and the bottles held in place well as I traveled over bumpy roads, etc... The last ride I did I crashed me and the road bike. Head, shoulders, road rash on knees, wrists and face. It was a pretty good spill at 20 mph and the bottles were full of liquid------they never moved! I will order more of these for my other bikes. It helps to find the right bottles to fit to the cages. Your local bike shops have lots of options, find "the one" and you are set.

I remember the day when carbon fiber water bottle cages were just for elite people with money. This bottle cage is so good that everyone should have carbon on their bicycle. It's almost a deal too good to be true. They are basically the same price as cheap plastic at my local bike shop. This thing is light, very light. The finish is almost like a matt black and you can't see the carbon weave. I am using this bottle also zip tied to my aero bars. Awesome cage and ready to put them on every bicycle I own.

This bottle cage is a perfect matte finish product with no markings and just all quality. Holds water bottles tightly and mounts easily. I ordered one first to see how I liked it and then ordered the second after installing and getting in a few rides. It looks great on my custom painted Madone and is a solid build which does exactly what you want from a bottle cage. I would recommend this item even at twice the cost and it would still be a better deal than most carbon fiber cages.

I had about 20 bottle cages in my life. These are ok. Good looking, 100% carbon, light and strong. Just one flaw: it's too tight. If you're planning to install it on a MTB tightness could be even a good thing -- it would give you more security on a rough terrain. If you going to use it on your road bike -- think twice. Your bottles become scratched and it not so easy to grab a bottle from this cage.I wouldn't buy it again. Though I'm not planning to return it.

Ordered 2 & received pretty quickly from across the water. Put on my new Specialized Ruby very easily. They are very light weight and good quality. I received them in Oct and have been using them for 6 months now, and still love them. They tightly grip my Polar Insulated bottles. Would recommend for the awesome price, look and ease of use. I would order more if needed.

These are exactly what I wanted. They look great. Perhaps they adjusted the specs; my bottle are a breeze to get in and out. Only put 70 miles on them, but nothing has popped loose either.I have not weighed them, but the sure felt lighter than the specialized cages I took off the bike.
