Did a TON of research on these and stand by this being the best value by far. Yes there are nicer scopes out there, but this price is insane for what you get. Took this to Yellowstone for wolf watching, got to know some of the pros there and used their Swarovski copes at times, as far as the image, couldn't tell the difference. But I'm not a pro either, I'm sure they could. But when those are around $2000, I'd say for the average person who wants a solid image, Gosky's the way to go. The adjustment for tracking side to side and up and down isn't as fluid as I'd prefer but that's it's only knock. At a couple hundred yards, this thing is crystal clear. Also pretty decent at low light which was important to me for dawn/dusk animal sightings. The phone attachment is a game changer, the pros at Yellowstone were actually jealous of that feature :) it really takes some great pics if you've got a good camera on your phone. Make sure to get a full tripod so you get some stability, I just got the amazon basics one, which worked well enough, no complaints and awesome value there too. Also took it out on a super foggy morning and it didn't fog up. Didn't get paid for this or a discount, just felt like for all the research I did, maybe I could save some time for the next guy. One video I found was of a hunter who reviewed it saying he hates China products but he couldn't dislike this scope. That's when you know it's good! I found that Celestron makes a solid entry level scope too ($170) and this is their wheelhouse, just thought the Gosky was the best value. Gosky also seems to stand by their product which pushed them above the name brand option. I've found that sometimes it's easier getting a replacement with a smaller amazon company than with the bigger names. Either way, it seems durable and I'm really happy with it. Stop looking and get it!

I purchased this for bird watching primarily to watch ducks way out on the water. I selected it because of the relatively low price and the good reviews. When I got it, it worked reasonably well. The image was not as sharp as my binoculars, but I was able to see quite a bit further than I could with my binoculars which is what I wanted. The tripod was quite short but actually worked well in my truck as it was about the right height to set up on the center console and view from the drivers seat. I cared for it well, but less than a year later it will not focus properly at any distance (pronouced streaking in the image) and it really does not work at all for birdwatching any more. I think that probably one of the optical components was not secured well and has slipped out of position. Maybe it can be fixed. I haven't tried yet.After writing my original review I was contacted by Gosky and they provided me with a replacement unit free of charge. This was an unexpected and very pleasant surprise which changes my opinion of the product and the company considerably. I am not sure that they will do this for everyone, but it does give me more confidence in their product.

UPDATE: 12/16/2016; There amazing customer service reached out to me about me issue, they stood by there product and sent me a replacement and I could not be happier with my NEW scope! Works flawlessly and I really really like it! I chose this scope for it's features and distance range and it has exceeded my expectations. I use it for viewing wild life and when at home off my balcony to view the ocean/sea life. It's very well made, solid and durable and seems like it will last for many many years! For the price range you can not go wrong and you will surely be very very satisfied! This is a great scope and love the rotating angled eye piece, that's another factor that sold me. Yes I had an issue with my original order, the company immediately reached out to me and yes the company stood by there product and addressed my issue. It's nice to know that some companies still care about there customers! Great scope/Great customer service, highly recommend and rest assure if you have any issues the company stands behind there product! Honestly I think the issue stemmed for Amazon not the company its self, regardless in the end, they stood by there product and that's good business!!I wanted to like it BUT it had a speck in between the lenses & appeared already used. I did my research and this was going to be the one, for the price, reviews and what you received it was great, BUT.... My scope arrived with a rather large speck of dirt/dust or some sort of FOB in between the big front main lens and my scope appeared to either have been used/a return or a floor model. That said it is a nice scope, was nice and sharp and offered good distance for price range, felt well made but paying full price and the look and feel of it being a return and the dirt in between the lens left me with no option other than to return it. I'm seriously contemplating taking a second chance and ordering another, Not sure yet. I did like it and it was perfect for my needs. In New Condition with No flaws, this could be a 5 star product.

I mulled over buying this scope for months. I’ve owned cheap optics before and was skeptical about lens quality, reviews, price, name brand etc. The optics are outstanding for the price. The focus was sharp enough to easily see 300 yard shot groups. I didn’t have enough daylight to test farther cause i just got it today. The supplied triopd is junk. Get a stout tripod! This scope is not heavy but it is long! The bag is nice... The manuals are semi useful. The Full lens covers are sweet. The angle adjustment is very useful.The phone interface is a little tricky. It is a stout assembly of parts. Its not cheesy plastic! The trick is angle of the dangle, zoom, focus & phone settings Iphone 6. All in all well worth the money!
