Could not get it to work.
I couldn't get it to work, watched several tutorials on youtube and it is very straight forward. Remove pin connector, and insert white, red, and black into 3,4, and 10 pins. I checked it several times, then decided to remove it from my 2006 BMW e83. The black wire would not come out, eventually breaking, so I can't even return it. I've given up on an AUX cable for my vehicle after this.

Wrong adapter for 2005 BMW 525i e60 w/no nav
Does not fit 2005 BMW 525i e60 no/nav correctly. The white 12 pin mount (which actually slides over the black 12 pin connector, and I wasn't aware these were 2 separate pieces) that comes with it, plugs into the incorrect socket which produces no audio. After paying $100 to have my whole car re-programmed because I could not get this to work, I realized that by cutting the white case, it fits into the socket next to the one it normally fits in, and then the audio works. I almost gave up after hours of programming this myself and having my sunroof messed up by the "professional" BMW programmer (The sun roof is totally f'd now due to whatever the program update did). This is the wrong white cover for an e60 with no navigation. Looking at the head unit from the back, it has to be modified and plugged into the right 12 pin socket, not the left socket that it naturally fits in.It would have gotten a 1 star, but at least I got it to work after much frustration and extra cost. It still deserves a 1 star for my busted sun roof which worked fine before.
