Worth it
Works exactly as promised so far, i have had my pet in it for a week and a half and she has cut back on her scratching 95 percent, even though our carpet is still pretty infested! I am impressed! 5 dollars for so much relief for my fur baby is above and beyond. I will continue to buy these, thank you Hartz, though i did forget top mention that i bought two of them, one for my house kitty, one for my adopted neighborhood tomcat, and one was broken coming out of the box, the buckle is very flimsy and could definitely be improved! Its worth 10 dollars just for the difference my house kittyexhibits though. 10 dollars to go from miserable to mostly content? So worth it.So, i feel compelled to update this review. I noticed that my cat started sleeping all of the time and never cuddled with me anymore, then one time i heard her wheeze, which she never has before. Then i saw her with her head dangling off of the table looking actually scarily either dead or unconscious. She actually was just sleeping so deeply that she was completely limp and slow to wake. It scared me, so i did some research and found out that flea collars should not be put on kittens, unhealthy or elderly animals. There are heavy doses of poison being constantly absorbed into your babies skin while wearing them, and even a few weeks after if not bathed thoroughly. My cat is 13, and so i decided to remove the collar and bathe her thoroughly. She returned to her normal self. Within a couple of days she was her semi energetic lovey self. Lol. So i would just caution you to examine the cost to benefit ratio and your pets age and health.

You should buy this, seriously
Both of my cats had bad flea problems that was spreading into the house and carpets. I purchased sprays, liquids, powders, and then these collars, but all I needed was the collars. I put them on in Late September/Early October, and its now March, and they still work great. My cats had never had collars on before, and while they didn't really enjoy them being put on, they almost immediately forgot they were there, and are much happier now that they don't have to chew and scratch all the time anymore. Well worth the money, especially if you have cats with long hair and are indoor/outdoor cats. Best part, they can't hang themselves if they get caught on something - the collar has a safety feature that unclasps when enough force is pulled. I tested it myself with my hands and it works great, and easy to put back on the cat if the safety clasp comes undone. The product even smells decent, and less like chemicals. Highly recommend

Weird experience
So I have stray cats I care for outside and my indoor cat. They interact sometimes so I make sure they all have flea collars and whatever else. So this year I got these ones and for my stray cats they were totally fine and haven’t had an issue with these and are flea and tick free so far. My indoor cat slept nonstop and seemed to have no energy or anything with this on. I took it off and shortly after he returned to normal. It was really weird. He has normal collars and doesn’t mind them whatsoever so idk why this was an issue unless the medicine made him sick. So I would say monitor the cats for a while after just to be safe:)

Not great, but not all bad
The collar has a strong smell at first which was a bit challenging to tolerate when my kitten wanted to lay near me. I like the thickness and adjustment capabilities of the collar and the smell does eventually subside. However, the collar is difficult to get to stay around my cat because she keeps popping it off. It is not sturdy enough for her keep on so I have to buy another product better suited for her
