Fantastic weather station for the price. I've had it for about a month now and it works perfectly! Easy to read and accurate. Yes, you need to plug the base unit into an outlet for the display to work properly. The batteries for the base unit are in the event of a power failure so you don't loose your clock and alarm settings, not for making the display work. I have the sensor/transmitter mounted on the east side of my home, up high under an eve and by a door on my balcony outside my master bedroom where it never gets direct sunlight or rain. The sun shines on the balcony in the early morning hours and the heat radiates up to the sensor so it gives me a more "feels like" temperature until the sun is a little higher in the sky. By noon the base unit is displaying an outside temperature within one to two degrees of what the national weather service says my current local temperature is. Overall I'm very pleased with it!

I’ve had this weather station now for 6 weeks and I love it. Unlike other makes of weather stations we had this one is very easy to set up and easy to change settings if I need to. It’s easy to read day or night and gives me what I want: outdoor temp. and humidity and the same for indoors. It can run on the 2 AA batteries(which are included) or plug it in with power cord. If you plug it in the display stays on constantly, but you can turn the display on or off with an easy touch of the power button. If you want to use it with just the batteries the display stays off until you touch the power button and the display stays lit for 10 seconds..long enough to read it. It’s just great weather station and I highly recommend it!!

Display is clear, is accurate, the remote sensor in open air, works well.The only bad thing: it does not register the minimun temperature on the remote sensor, when I ask for it, the display shows the current value. All other values are displayed well.

I've wanted one of these indoor/outdoor thermometers for years and after the last heatwave, I decided to purchase one. I picked the Unni brand unit. Set up was almost effortless. Simply install the two supplied AA batteries in the outdoor sensor unit, mount the sensor in a protected spot. In my case under the front porch.Either plug in the indoor unit, using the 110 volt power transformer or use the 3 AAA batteries. The indoor unit almost immediately connected to the outdoor unit and I had the thermometer up and running. I've compared the temp with that provided on my cellphone and it is spot on. Very satisfied and the $25 price tag was deal. I intend to purchase additional sensors, so I can monitor the temp in other areas of my home. Excellent product in all respects.

I like the large digits that are easy to read in all kinds of lighting. Information is accurate and the built-in clock is also. Unit is easy to set up right out of the box!

Perfect for what I wanted. Small, simple and easy to read. I have it in my BR so I can see the outside temperature before I get dressed in the morning. I could do without the alarm feature and find the seconds on the clock annoying. Even with the brightness of the background dimmed, it still is much too bright at night so I have to turn the screen completely off. That kind of defeats the clock purpose. Keep it simple is my motto!

We’ve had this for awhile, but now for _some reason_ it’s displaying the time in 24-hour time 🙃, and I cannot change it. I came here and pulled up the instructions - no comment about 24-hour time 🧐.This thing is fickle, and stubborn to reset. It’s not worth your time or money.
