I have a 8 month old Maltichon who was starting to show some signs of separation anxiety. I decided a snuffle mat along with some other interactive toys (training too ofcourse) was in order. Whenever I leave for work i make sure to lay it down and hide treats inside. He often watches me as I do so with his tail wagging. It'll keep him occupied for a good ten minutes initially then he'll go back to it leisurely throughout the afternoon. He likes to lay on it as well. I've yet the need to wash it. The material is soft, and so far it's holding up well. I was also happy with it's size. When not in use I just roll it up and hide it in the closet. Great enrichment toy, good price for the size. Most importantly, my puppy likes it.

This may was great for my dog until I had to clean it. If washing in a machine, it actually tore on the bottom. I actually tried spraying with a hose and it simply didn't get the crevices clean. This concept is great and my dog loved it but just not easy to clean. This is rather large too so it took up a lot of space in our dining area. Suggest looking for a smaller snuffle mat

My cats and I love this snuffle mat. I hide some crunchies in here every night right before bed for my cats to hunt. It's become a great nightly ritual that they look forward too, and the best part is that the pre-bed action & intellectual stimulation helps them settle in for the night so I get to sleep better. WIN! It's one of their favorite activities and a fun bonding moment sitting with them while they hunt for snacks. They purr the whole time! Sometimes they even bring over a small toy to hide in there for entertainment too. It would be a great tool for slowing down a fast eater or rewarding a kitty that's been home alone and bored all day. It's also easy to wash. Highly recommend! Wish i would have discovered these years ago!!

My cat loves this mat and everything has been going great. However, the mat has gotten dirty with fur, crumbs, etc., so I laundered it. Mistake. Be warned that the nylon border SHRINKS BIG-TIME in the wash so rather that being a flat mat, it's now sort of a .... curled-up wad. I wet the border and tried to stretch it, but to no avail. Not sure what to do because the felt part with the snuffle features is fine, but the whole thing looks like a pile of laundry because the border shrank. :(

This is huge! So many opportunities for enrichment. Out dog eats so much better with this then when his food is just in a bowl

The media could not be loaded. Got this to stimulate my pets with their treats. So far they seem to like looking for their food. It’s sturdy and even rolls and ties up.

This is the second snuffle mat we have purchased. We got this because we added a second dog to our family. As you can see, this is perfect for two smaller dogs. One is a year old Cavapoo (12lbs) and the other is a 5mos old Mini Aussie (lbs unknown) He will inhale his food and she gets bored very quickly. This works for both of them! This slows him down and gives her something more exciting than eating from a bowl. I love that it ties up when not in use and all the different areas are great to mix it up a bit. I've washed it at least once or twice now and it came out perfectly clean and fluffy.
