StandDesk is the way to go!
First off, having a standing desk is a total game changer! You don’t know it until you try it, but there is no way I can ever go back to a normal sitting desk. Even if you don’t go with this product, I highly recommend you make the change for yourself. That being said, I DO highly recommend this product and I will tell you why. With my previous desk setup I was experiencing increasing pain in my lower back and I knew that continuing that way was not healthy. With the stand desk I can very easily switch between standing and sitting in a matter of seconds, and not have to lose valuable work time. Whereas before I was becoming so sore from sitting and having to take breaks to stretch out the kinks, now I can effortlessly alternate between sitting and standing with no time lost. Standing at my desk while working is even more comfortable than I imagined, especially with the ability to sit for breaks or when I am relaxing, as well.I was on the market for a standing desk for a few weeks since my company gave us the green light to upgrade our office set up. I have checked out all the major players on Amazon. Some of the key features that I attracted me to this desk is the 350 pound load capacity, 4 button preset controller, and, to be honest, the StandDesk story. After doing some research on StandDesk’s website I also learned about their Kickstarter success and decided to give them a shot.Pros:- It looks GREAT!- Great bang for your buck. I got my desk and accessories for under $750!! Unheard of- The desk memory controller offers 4 presets which is great because you don’t need to gauge your optimal sitting and standing positions each time you transition like the 2 button controllers- Transitions are fast, quiet, and smooth- Fairly straight forward assembly. It took me a little over an hour to put everything together including all the accessories- Very sturdy and well built. I conducted a shake test (side-to-side and front-to-back) when fully raised and noticed minimal movement.- Transitioning from sitting to standing 3-4 times a day, I almost always reach my daily fitbit goals- My back pains continue to improve. I’m hoping this continues over time.Cons:- The controller protrudes a bit from the table top. On occasion, I have bumped into the controller causing the desk to move. However, this can be solved by installing the controller further back on the table top on initial install.- Could use some AI or integration of some sort. There are some smart desks out there that can be controlled with your phone and send you reminders to sit/stand.- Controller aesthetic design could be more modern- Cable management is a pain. I ended up using a mixture of duct tape, zip ties, and twist ties to keep cables from handing downNeedless to say, I am extremely satisfied with the product that I received.

Excellent
I really love this desk. I paired it with the bamboo top (also purchased on Amazon). I didn't read the instructions, but the pictures were pretty straight forward. The mounting hardware is all provided. The only tool needed was a Phillips screw driver. In addition, to the table top and frame I purchased the following items:Techflex F6n1.25bk25 Flexo F6 General Purpose 1-1/4-inch Braided Cable Sleeve, Black - 10 Ft (hiding multiple cables down to the tower below)LX Desk Mount LCD Arm ( I purchased 2 for oversized monitors)Bestten 12 Outlet Heavy Duty Metal Surge Protector Power Strip, 15-Foot Long Extension Cord, ETL Listed (power management 2 screws will be needed)StarTech.com AD2X2 2x2-Inch Open Slot Wiring Cable Raceway Duct with Cover (cable management, 2 screws needed)Performance - The desk is responsive to the controller. It reaches set heights quickly. It has held height as it have unplugged it and moved it. The platform feels very stable. My monitors bounce a little, but I think that is improper tension in my monitor mount (I will continue to play with that and report back)The only time the desk makes noise is when changing the height. I would say it is about equivalent to one of the "silent" garbage disposals (Take a field trip to The Home Depot or Lowes if you need to be reminded). There really is not much noise and it is only for a few seconds while the height is changing.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I am only about a week in and I will try to update my review once I hit 6 months.ps. I tried to fix the orientation of the photos..... couldn't figure it out... sorry.

Defective unit and no one is responding to my emails.
Before buying this desk I did a bunch of research and ultimately decided to go with StandDesk, the more expensive of the options, because I trusted the brand and was assured by their warranty. I've been having issues with my desk (it's shuddering horribly when it goes down) and when I first contacted support (months ago) someone responded to me almost immediately to try and help solve my issue. Now the issue is getting worse and I have contacted support almost weekly to try and rectify the situation and no one has yet to respond back.

The warranty is a lie!! They don't respond after getting your money!
I bought this last march and loved it until it simply stopped adjusting. It just displays this code for every button i touch. It was being used normally. I have tried several times to get in touch with the company to file a warranty claim and have gotten no response, accept their automatic email that says they will get back to you within 48 hours... well they don't. One of the biggest reasons I like to buy quality is for the warranty so I don't have to worry about surprises. It really sucks to pay $430.00 for a desk that lasts 8 months.I would gladly remove this review if someone could please get back to me so I can get my desk working again.

This is the one!
Fantastic. Everything I had hoped for. I was able to retrofit my Ikea Galant conference table frame to the StandDesk easily. The 350 pound capacity eliminated the one worry I had about these desks = overloading.

Easy to Assemble, Quality Product
I was on the market for a quality sit-to-stand desk for quite some time and a few months ago, I spoke to a buddy of mine whose office was recently outfitted with standing desks from StandDesk. Based on his recommendation, I decided to give them a shot. I did not purchase through Amazon, instead I bought through SD’s standalone website. The product itself is very easy to assemble. Took me about 20 minutes. It is very sturdy even when raised. The desk motor is also very quiet compared to others i’ve seen on the market. I thought about going with the laminate top but decided to splurge a little by going with the bamboo. The top seems durable enough and has a nice finish to it. I have been using this desk for a couple of months now and I couldn’t be happier.
