Very Unhappy
I purchased an HP Laptop (Model 14-CF1502SA) last year from a reputable high street store. The laptop was not cheap but has proved to be unsatisfactory from my own experience. (1) The screen is lacking brightness and vividness. Internet images appear of very low quality resolution and the whites are simply not white. There seems to be no obvious configuration settings whereby one can set the screen resolution and brightness quality to their own preference. I took the laptop back to the store only to be told that the screen type (matte) is the reason for the image quality. They tried to improve matters but without any success through the settings functionality. (2) The On/Off button has stopped functioning properly and has become hit and miss unless is pressed down with force, (3) At low power the laptop freezes up and even when the power is connected back on, the laptop behaves irrationally needing several hard restarts to get going again, (4) The laptop drops out of the home wifi spontaneously for no justifiable reason. (5) Most of the keyboard key letters/numbers/symbols started to fade away making the keyboard look worn and shabby already and after minimal use. Again, the response from the store was unhelpful. I raised the issues with HP directly but was again confronted with a rather unhelpful approach.The TrustPilot review statistics highlight the HP service issues with the undisputed score of 89% Bad and 3% Poor ( Out of 3233 reviews on 23/10/2021). A whopping 92% Below Average quality of service speaks volumes. The theme of bad reviews is evident on other review sites.I have had very many laptops in my life time so far, both personal and work ones, of varying brand not HP ones. Never, ever, on any of those laptops I have experienced any of these issues. In a few words, I am extremely disappointed and unhappy with this HP laptop and would not recommend it, unless of course you like getting disappointed. This has been an expensive lesson and as a result of the bad experience HP has completely dropped off my list of future purchases.NOTE: The laptop was not purchased via Amazon and the purpose of my review here is to share my own experience for information only.
