Be prepared to put up the do not distueb sign!
This is now the 3nd book, that I've read in this can't put it down book series! Totally absorbing, first class characters & plot , this one again, has some characters, from the previous 2 novels, but is a completely new storyline. Don't intend to give any of it away, just say, don't miss this series, if you like imaginative Who Dun It's with a good realistic plot. ,& realistic haracters, !st class! Thank you Kendra for some first class reading, only problem is that's it#s easy to forget those things you should be doing, but can't until you finish it!

Even though it tackles some uncomfortable topics it is the best book in the series.
Buried is Kendra Elliot's third book in the Bone Secrets series. Having read the other two books I must admit that they get better as they progress. Each book features a main character who appears as supporting characters in the other books. It's a great way to keep a familiar feel to a series without having each book cover the same characters. In this book we once again meet up with the gorgeous Michael Brody who was infatuated with Lacey Campbell in the first book. Michael drops his journalist hat when he has a personal agenda after a grisly mass grave found in the woods. Two decades after the disappearance of a bus load of children, their remains are found with strong indications of child abuse. Michael hurries to the site to hopefully lay to rest his missing brother only to find that his brother's remains unaccounted for. And so begins the hunt for his missing brother where Michael teams up with the lovely Jamie, the sister of the only known survivor of the abduction and abuse. However, it seems like the original child sex offender and murderer is on the loose trying to silence the remaining survivor. This book is full of graphic violence, kidnapping, beatings and fight scenes. It's very tastefully written and totally gripping and in my opinion, it is the best book by far. The romance between Jamie and Michael is well written and I'm thankful that it's not over the top. I'm looking forward to Veiled, the next book in the series.

A good tale well told
This is a very well told tale centring on the discovery of the site where gruesome murders and torture took place several years in the past. A school bus had been hijacked and all the children and the driver had vanished. At first it seemed that one child had escaped and the story is of the search for this missing child and the murderer. It is a refreshingly complex plot with several realistic characters. There is a background romance between the lead female character and the hero, who had both lost brothers on the fateful trip. Given the low esteem generally held of US (or any) politicians the end twist was not really a surprise. Graphic violence is never far from the surface, but is maintained at a level consistent with the story, the nature of which is quite disquieting.

Loved This One By Her
I loved this one by her. I liked the first but wasn't THAT excited by it. The second I passed on as it didn't sound my type of thing but this one was superb. You don't need to have read all of them as each is a stand-alone story in itself.I spotted not one spelling mistake again and only one missed word in a sentence. That is superb and makes such a difference so I'll definitely be getting her newest story out next month.I liked Michael and Jamie a great deal. Both nice people who'd had traumatic childhoods blighted when their brothers were part of a school bus of kids all kidnapped.I thought the story was a fascinating one. At odd times it seemed a tad farfetched but certainly not heading over into fanciful which I can't be doing with.I laughed reading the author's acknowldegements especially the one to Charlotte who "gently lets me know when I've created unlikeable characters". Yayyyy for Charlotte !! I also found it amusing reading about the author where it states she graduated with a journalism degree and went on to become a dental hygienist....as you do !This book had another very eye-catching cover as well. I miss a good cover reading on devices as opposed to holding the real thing in my hands but space dicatates I can't do that these days.

ok
Strange book .Ok and it passes the time.It is however cliched and has very strong echoes of other books and on one occaision a TV show.It feels formulaic including the insertion of a 'love interest' and the ridiculous Mills and Boon style romance.Probably would not read this author again.

Another great book
The characters have intertwined with those from an early book and have built up a family of sorts. But there is much more to this story than meets the eye. Brilliantly written. I seem to be on a great roll of picking great books to read. If you like this series, please try reading books by K. LEITCH THE WITCHES OF GLORY WOOD BOOKS. They are not supernatural but are about a group of friends and a detective, set in a small town in the British Countryside. Brilliantly written by a lovely lady author. This series of books remind me of them. They start with the book entitled, "MUMMY'S LITTLE GIRL." Give them a go, I know you will love them, especially if you like this series.

Fantastic
This was a fantastic read, oh my god I felt sick how someone can do that to children, I wanted to string him up to the nearest tree, it kept me on the edge of my seat. It was absolutely brilliant.

Kendra Elliot
Bones, like her other series set in Pacific North West. I like the settings and the characters and how there are links with her other stories and lead characters
