Interesting design.
Early days but this kettle seems to be as good as any other electric kettle that I have had. It has the benefit of a filter at the spout and an interesting design feature is the easy fill function through the lid. A circular plastic disc, spring loaded, this allows water to flow into the kettle but then the disc springs back into position after filling. Alternatively you can remove the lid with the black plastic button on the side. My only concern is the strength of the spring on the plastic disc with constant use. If it failed you could end up with a circular hole in the lid! Time will tell. The kettle is a bit heavy and noisy compared to some that I have had in the past however is it fast to boil and robust in construction. The water pours out of the spout very smoothly. At £24.99 I would say it is a good purchase and good value for money and for those reasons and the easy fill option I recommend it.

It doesn't drip!
Great looking kettle, boils water! Pours well with no drips. Easy to fill if you have a high tap or fill from water filter, we have a pretty much standard mixer tap which makes filling difficult if there's dishes in the sink.

Rapid boil but giant size
👍This is a very good kettle so far, quick boil, relatively quiet, looks good.👍It has a brilliant 'secret' fill up flap.👎It is enormous (and heavy) so if you have a small workspace it may not suit.👎Also it boils for longer than an neccessary.

Hot
Our faithful kettle died and we replaced it with an Amazon Basics job that looked to be the same as the old one. It worked, but it was slow (said 2.2kW but took sooo loooong to boil). So decided to try something different and go with this one.Initially we were worried about the 'easy fill' flap, and it turns out to be a concern but not in the way expected. Rather, it is brilliant, and so mind-numbingly simple that it's easy to forget other kettles don't have it. Muscle memory then means water all over the floor as you try to fill through a closed lid.Importantly, this one is fast. When the ad says 3kW they really mean it, and that means no waiting for the first cuppa of the day. However, the main reason for writing this review is that the lid broke the other day. Still fitted, but try and remove it and the bottom part fell inside. The easy-fill flap meant it could still be used because the lid didn't have to be opened to fill it, but clearly its time was up. Went off to the Daewoo website to see if they did spares and wound up having a new lid posted out gratis, because even though this is now 2 years and 9 months old, it was fixed under warranty. You only find out how good support is when you have to use it, and I can say that Daewoo support is faultless.

Didnt last 6 months
I wouldn't bother! Nice looking kettle that works well. Lid opening to fill without removing is great BUT the plastic hinge broke after just 6 months. This is the 2nd model I have bought - after the first one broke in the same place after 12 months. I wont be buying a third!

I really should have bought one of these ages ago
Not long ago I bought a Netta kettle. I was looking through the reviews, they all seem good and so I bought it. It didn't take very long to realise that despite the fact that it was a pretty decent, well made kettle - it dribbled. It dribbled badly. It dribbled when I was filling up a cup of coffee and if I was filling up anything with a bit more vigor it didn't just dribble, it flowed, it flowed so badly that it looked like the bottom was leaking. And I am pretty certain it was around the same pricepoint as this Daewoo.Anyway, enough of the Netta, I had to get a non-dribbling, fast boiling kettle, but this time I asked a question of the fantastic purchasers here on Amazon: "did it dribble?" The answer was a resounding 'no'.It is a brilliant kettle, 1.7l of water is a lot, easily enough to fill my bowl for washing dishes (solar panels make it free in the daytime). It is noticeably faster than my own kettle at 3000w and the pièce de résistance is the absolutely marvellous way one fills it.No more holding down a button with your thumb whilst simultaneously holding it under the tap, or removing the lid completely. Just hold it there and let the pressure/gravity of the water falling on the centre filling cap do it for you. Oh my!If you fill it right up it will get pretty heavy as it is not a small kettle by any means, this feature will help those who may find it so by enabling the use of both their hands to hold the kettle under the tap. What I did was to have my small plastic measuring jug which holds enough water got a very large mug, and I use that to ferry water from the tap to the kettle on the worktop - works for me!On top of that the warranty can be extended by two years by going online and registering it. You will need to attach proof of purchase and you will receive an email to confirm when done, I suggest printing this out along with the invoice. The first year will be with Amazon, the other two with Daewoo. In short then, superb kettle, fastboil, large water quantity, supremely simple and novel filling method with a 3 year warranty for under £30. What's not to love?

Nothing uniquely left handed about it!
Product is fine, works a treat, does what is says except it says ‘left and right handed’, well all swivel base kettles are, what would have truly made this left/right handed is if they had put the measuring scale on both sides, such a simple thing to do! It really would have made the difference, no other swivel base kettles claim to be left/right handed……

Broke after 1 month
I bought this Kettle as it had good reviews and good value for money, at the end of February. By middle of April it had stopped working. The LED light would work to show it was connected to power however, did not boil the water (I found out the hard way when trying to make a cup of tea). It seemed the heating element had stopped working. Making this a faulty product.Going onto Amazon to find I couldn't return/replace the item I am now out of £30 quid and no kettle. Even though this was a defective product and not something I had done to break it.
