Maybe I bored it out too much which is why it dripped ...
The extension housing was not deformed as far as I can tell, but a little transmission fluid seeped out between the metal collar of the seal and the housing. A little bead of gasket maker solved this problem. May not have been the product's fault. May have been my own insufficient installation . . . ? Also the supplied bushing was a little too thick to accommodate my driveshaft so I had to bore it out a bit. Maybe I bored it out too much which is why it dripped fluid. Either way it took a little work to get right. Did not work out of the box, but that is how it goes sometimes.

Fit like original take your time and use good technique to install
Stopped my trans tail shaft leak and reduced vibration of drive shaft.
