Bought this to be used in the garage to turn on a light when needed, without having to turn all the lights on. I got the app easily and installed it. The connection to wifi was simple and the outlet works everytime. When it says it's on or off, it really is, and I have been able to operate it from anywhere and even with a different phone with the app. I did setup the timer to turn it on for about 20 minutes in the morning and it has worked flawlessly thus far. I have unplugged the outlet multiple times and it works everytime I plug it back in. The range seems to be pretty good as well. My router is on the other side of the house and the outlet is in the garage. So far this has done everything it says and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I will update if I have any issues in the future.

So far, so good. It came today, and I'm using it with a table lamp. I went about a mile from my house and turned the lamp on. It was on when I got back home, so it worked perfectly. I had about 1 minute of difficulty with the setup, since my phone said it wasn't connected. I pushed the button on the device a few times and then everything worked just fine. I'm thinking of buying more of these. It would be great if there was a wired switch device but I am pleased with how well this worked. I DID NOT receive this as a promotion, but paid the full Amazon price. (Still love it!)EDIT: I ordered three more and have installed 2 of them. Adding a device is simple. Second one took a few tries to connect, but I think that was user error. With the third one, I held down the button on the "Device" (AKA outlet) while it was connecting and it connected immediately. Now, I'm thinking about all the other places I can use these! Still 5+ stars! Also, the ability to change the generic device icon to a photo is super easy and super cool.

I really like the socket and would give it 5 stars if Alexa could find it. With any luck that will eventually happen. The installation was a snap. I'd already downloaded the app so when the plug arrived, got plugged in and started blinking hard it was just a matter of executing the app, entering my WiFi password and it worked. It replaces a timer which turned on the 4 lamps in my living room. It should save electricity since it will only be on when I want it on. Now it just has to work with Amazon Echo. Hurry up, please.

Bought two of these. One works like a charm; easy to set up, easily controllable with my iPhone. The other functions only as an on/off switch, apparently. Will not connect to the wifi, and there's really no support for these products, unless I'm missing something. After buying the WeMo Switch and having it work fine for a month or two and then crap out completely, I was looking forward to liking these switches. As it turns out, I like one of them. And maybe it's me -- maybe i carry around some sort of tiny electromagnetic pulse that causes these switches to malfunction. But I would say in the case of the so-called "Smart" power socket, you get what you pay for.

I just got this set up after having it for months. I lost the instructions and was wondering how to set it up, and went back to the original order. I literally took the scan from the screen from one of the photos to download the app and bingo I was able to configure it immediately. Shocked with ease and happiness. Works great - bought another unit.

I have my internet thru AT&T so it drops every now and then. Well I had to reinstall this every time my internet would drop. I bought it to use for when we were out of town. That was not going to work returned it.

People, this switch works perfectly. Doesn't drop out, lose sync (Phone status verses switch on/off status. Always available with my WiFi on. This is five stars to me because the device plus the Android app work always and I've been using this for a month everyday.

Generally it is a good product. It actually stopped working the other day and I tried to reinstall the app but still couldn't configure. The seller is nice and told me to reset the router, or if it doesn't work they can replace a new one (the return window was past). Then it successfully configured after I restart the router.
