Not very helpful
This guide was disappointing. Purchased before a 3 week trip to Queensland,Sydney, and Adelaide. Not much more ibfo than the wonderful $10 pocket guide to Australia. Left behind 2 500 page guides. Maybe the internet would give more precise info than thus new Guide.

Excellent for the General Traveller
This book covers a huge geographical area and it would be hard to cover everything in detail but it does a very good job in almost every aspect. I particularly found the section on Brisbane very useful and clearly presented. I particularly liked the itinerary of a 2 hour city walk which I am looking forward to doing.Although there is much useful information on the towns, resorts and islands up the Queensland coast, I found the details of the coral islands rather brief. As an experienced snorkeler and diver I was hoping for more information on the quality of the reefs to help me select my destinations. In general it seemed that some of the numbers on the maps did not correspond with the numbers given to individual attractions in the text and I found them a little confusing.

Same content as the content in East Coast Australia
The only advantage is that it is slightly lighter. I had hoped to get more info, especially on Lady Musgrave Island day cruises.
