We received this item a few day after expected. The direction are terribly written. It broken English. After delivering what we could the menu wouldn't come up complete. Sometimes after setting according to direction the setting changed. We thought it was a fluke. Then my husband drive a 2 hour drive to work at 5 a.m. and heads home at 7:30 p.m.. After 10 minutes the unit shut off. He would turn it back on only to turn itself off after 10 minutes again. We had several technological friends read the broken and miss spelled instruction and they tried multiple ways of setting it up. Noticed one day while driving with him that the reflection of the sun in the window or at night the reflection of the head lights and signs hit the camera at an angle causing the unit to shut down. I tried over 4 hours to change the angle of the camera but no matter what we tried the unit shut off. According to the instructions as long as the camera detects motion it will stY on. No so. If you are driving and the camera picks up the movement of the road, signs, trees and vehicles it shouldn't shut off. We took out the card and erased it then reformatted yet still the problems exist. Do not recommend and disputed the instructions stating a better model is available we found it doesn't exist. The instructions say printed in 2015 so if the more improved camera is out there we wonder if the inventor failed because this exact model is sold under 4 different brand names as most do. Being this is the second variety of Visio camera pitched in a year we will no longer waiste our money. Too bad too since the location we live in people don't care who they hurt in driving so carelessly every day.UPDATE 10/13/16 After contacting the vendor we we're told we couldn't get our money back nor exchange. Got no other contact until today. They state we aren't using the camera correctly. The very limited instructions aren't clear so when they tell me that I must turn off the motion detector until I turn off the vehicle then activate the motion sensor which is used only to detect if something hits the car while it's off using the last two minutes of battery backup would have been helpful back I purchased not 6 or more months after. And the instructions do state the unit must be plugged in at all times while using. So to say I'm not using it correctly is not my failure it's the manufacturer and vendor for not making instructions completely and apparently clear. Plus answer my questions this many months later to save face is not respectful to anyone purchasing this equipment. After turning off the motion sensor and still leaving charged when trying to use it the equipment still fails. I now down grade my stars to zero and still do not recommend this product. This is America we're laws are applied to everything sold in America to protect the consumers. These lack of practices may be acceptable in other countries but not America. If you can't accept this then do not sell your defective products here. We are tired of being disprected. This is why a war among political leaders are occurring more and more and the lack of respect from our own leaders that allow this to occur is the reason we the people of America are rising up against corruption. Too little, TOO LATE!!

After little over a month after purchase, display turned completely white occasionally. After 9 'moths of use (only during weekends), it stopped working all together. It battery doesn't hold any charge now. Very disappointedUpdate: Seller reached out and provided a replacement. Raised to 3 stars to reflect their nice customer service.

iits already dead.it wont open anymore.are they still have the warranty for this ?

changed my review. camera separated from the base. it just dangles and can't be aimed in front of car.
