"Me: oh wow, there are a lot of reviews saying this cord doesn't work without a converter.Also me: nobody said it wouldn't work with a simple DVD player. I'll try it!"So let me formally say: it doesn't work with a DVD player. It doesn't work with a blue ray player. It doesn't work with an Apple TV. It doesn't work with my cable box. I will hang on to it in case I eventually want to splurge on a converter, but the only reason I wanted to try it was because I my tv had a limited number of ports, and I'm tired of swapping cables around. Oh well. I can't say anything negative about the cord itself. The plastic is sturdy and it's got lots of pretty plugs hanging off one end that my small child had fun swinging around.

These cables did not work. No signal was passing through the cable for some reason, even switched inputs with other devices I know worked to make sure it wasn't the TV the was having the issue. Would never recommend these to anyone. R.M.

This item did not perform as advertised. Connector cover were sliding off of the connector.I plugged this cable into the back of my DVD player (HDMI connection) and to the back of my tv (Component connection) and I was not able to get any video nor audio thru my tv.

Description does not say wire only works one way. Doesn't change hdmi to component hook up only component to hdmi.

I hooked the HDMI end to my cable converter box and the other end to my tv component and audio inputs - it didn't work - no video or audio received on the tv.

These cables are not real. They do not function. They even forgot to install one of the cable for component cable. I'm surprise amazon is selling this product.
