Can be great, with a little help!
I'm so pleased with this gym. I got it for my Blue Fronted Amazon and she loves it. I set it near her cage for part of a day and then overnight before putting it in the room that it was going to be in, so that she could get used to it a bit. She only hesitated a little and stepped right up on it the following day. She spends quite a bit of time here now and I can say that she really enjoys it.There are two things about this that aren't super fabulous. One is that the cups are tiny. Like, really, really small. If you have a larger bird, like a macaw, their beak won't fit in these cups. I ended up having my husband drill a larger hole in the perch where the cups go and putting larger stainless steel cups on it. It does take up a bit more of the perch room, but it was totally worth it. It holds more than just a 1/4 cup of anything now. I put an empty yogurt cup into the (now metal) cups that I replaced the tiny plastic cups with so that I can refill them without having to unscrew them every time. The cups will still have to be unscrewed if water sloshes outside the yogurt cups, however it can be dried out with a paper towel for the most part. Obviously if your bird is large, or clever and strong, they'll figure out how to take out the "insert" cup and you might have a mess. But I highly recommend considering replacing the existing cups if you find they're too small for your large parrot. The second thing that I find to be a problem with this gym, is that the center pole should be cut down a bit on the top. It sticks up too high over the perches and my bird has a hard time getting from the food cup to the water cup over the big block in the middle. I finally got some cotton rope and tied it from one perch to the other across the block in the center, so she could use the rope to grip and climb across the block. This seems to make it much easier for her. She isn't able to take one big step across the whole block. A bird larger than an Amazon wouldn't have this problem, but anything in the Amazon/Grey range is going to struggle a bit, more than likely. The perches around the center pole are placed nicely and so far, there's been no pooping on perches below, regardless of which perch she stands on. They are placed well! There are eye hooks on the end of every perch to hang a toy from. The eye hooks are rather small, the toy that came with it did not fit into the hook. This was clearly not thought out well. I simply switched out the quick link the toy came with for a smaller one and it was all good. For the price, I was unable to find anything even close to the quality and the value. Even after buying a set of shelves with storage cubes underneath to put it on, I still spent considerably less than I would have if I'd purchased an all-in-one-stand and this is much nicer with more perches and toy hanging options than anything else I could find. Not to mention it's more portable and I can move it easily around the house.Overall, I'm very pleased with this gym and would certainly recommend it for the African Grey and Amazon sized birds. I would purchase it again, and might even buy another to have on backup.

bought for love bird, better for goffin’s
we chose this perch for a couple reasons, one was it is relatively inexpensive, two because it is made of wood. it was supposed to be for our love bird. waaaay too big. but our goffin’s cockatoo loves it! wood is his favorite thing ever and as much time he has spent tearing this thing to shreads makes me fairly certain i will reorder sometime in the future.the construction and layout is actually appropriate for a smaller bird, it comes with glue to attach the dowels. some of the holes were big so they didn’t fit very snugly. the gaps between would probably be too small for a large parrot but anything around a goffin’s to maybe a conure would appreciate it.

Very sturdy Parrot Loves it
My Pionus Parrot loves this playground. He is a smaller parrot so it's perfect. Only complaint is that it came with a toy that the hook was bigger than the opening from which it could be hung. Had to get a smaller one but that did the trick. Also, no instructions for set up and when I noticed the "bars" were really loose I had to call to find out why. My box was missing wood glue to hold them in. Fixed the problem easily

A little unstable, but good for the money
A good buy for the money, but needs a little wood glue to keep the pegs of all of the perches in place. Also, slightly too large of spacing in the ladder for my pionus, though he is figuring out how to climb from place to place with the aid of toys hanging to grab onto.

Not good Quality
The size was what I was looking for but, not sturdy enough. My Grey had two rungs chewed in the first 3 days.
