Ocean Star International A0102 Artemia Brine Pet Food, 6gm

Basically what my title says. My kids "sea monkey" colony is WAY past the 6 months that it claims (going strong after 2 years). Needed a new food supply and this one worked out great. I know it's meant for feeder brine shrimp, but it works well for our tiny tank as well. It smells terrible but what can you expect from dried and crushed up fish? Also the container is much different than is pictured. It comes in a long triangular shaped tube. Personally I like that better but when/if I ever get to the bottom it might be a pain to finish it up. Have sea monkeys (brine shrimp)? This is a great source of energy for them.

I am a newby raising brine shrimp. I have a 100 gallon reef aquarium and wanted some live food for the critters. Hatching brine shrimp is easy, but raising them to maturity is throwing me. This brine shrimp food is probably OK, but after a week all brine shrimp are gone. Same thing happens with foods I have prepared from internet recipes, so I cannot put the blame on the OSI food.

This sea monkey food needs WAY better instructions! It says to put enough food in to make the water cloudy, but by then what if you've put in too much?? I put in one small scoop with the included scoop and the next day 5 of my 6 sea monkeys were dead. So I'm guessing it was too much food. FRUSTRATING. Now I have to order all new sea monkeys, wait 3 weeks for them to hatch, and hope I don't accidentally kill them off again. My recommendation if you buy this is to add a TINY amount (just using the tip of the handle) to the aquarium.

You get a small vile of the product. It's a bit clumped up, but it makes green water for feeding your shrimp. I think I would go with a different option next time.

my dog ate the entire thing, so it must be pretty good. The shrimp didn't get the chance to even smell them.

Bought this product using the brine hatchery. I;m not sure if it;s working considering not getting many shrimp. Came quickly

Amazingly fast turnaround time. What they advertised is spot on. More food than I'll ever need at the moment. Will be more than happy to buy from again in the future.

Seems to be good food for the shrimp, have had an excellent harvest of adult shrimp to feed adult fish.
