Perfect for what it is
I spent an entire day searching the city of Denver for a couple of 10x14 screen printing frames to no avail. Then I felt a little dumb when I finally checked Amazon and found them available on Prime at a great price. Professional screen printers love to make fun of Speedball and tell you about the benefits of professionally stretched aluminum frames, but if you're an indie artist type like me who isn't printing in high volume, these wooden frames can actually be better than the "proper" ones.Pros:*They're not too big. For most tank top and tshirt designs, 10x14 is all you need, and it's nice not to have to maneuver a 20x24 frame that's mostly empty. Plus, it's much easier to store smaller frames safely.*You can re-mesh them yourself. Just buy a few yards of screen printing mesh, and you'll be set for life. Sure, the tension won't be quite as high as with a professional frame, but it's plenty high to do the job. As someone who likes to keep stencils around for a while instead of reclaiming the screen right away, I like knowing that if I can't get it fully reclaimed I can just slap a new one in there in ten minutes.Cons:*The wood does break down eventually. If you have to wash it frequently, you'll probably be looking for a new one in a couple of years. But you'll have gotten tons of use out of it by then, so I don't consider it much of a con.*Because water soaks into the wood instead of just sitting on the surface of aluminum, it can take them a little longer to dry after washing. Here in Denver that's the difference between five minutes and twenty minutes, but if you live somewhere with that newfangled humidity stuff I've been hearing about and have trouble getting things to dry, it could be an issue. All in all, I think these are a fantastic frame for anyone who's below the full-professional-setup level. For the hobbyist and indie artist, they work like a charm.

Best screen yet
I have bought several screens and screen print often as a hobby. This one has held up very well. Highly recommend.

They work, but I suggest making your own.
I bought two of these while setting up my screen printing system. They work great! They are easy to clean and the image transferred nicely. I did have an issue using white on these screens but that could be more about my ink and less about the screens.Since I'm starting out I make my images with vinyl to save costs. I've been able to do several designs without needing to rescreen. After 3 designs I did have to rescreen one. Again though I think that has more to do with me learning how to handle screens and less with the quality of the product. Overall I'm satisfied with the items.HOWEVER I do not recommend buying these. In screen printing you need a lot of screens. At $17 a pop having multiple designs can be pricey. Especially if your using emulsion. So after having these about a week I decided to learned to make my own screens rather than purchase more of these. I was able to make 3-12×12 1-16x20 and 1-14x12 for about $30.The first two photos are of the screen set up and the last of of some test prints with it. It does not fit a 10in squeege. That may go without saying for most people, but I didn't know that.

Nice and easy to use
I got the screen so I can use it for photo emulsion and it worked like a charm! Would 100% buy it again. ❤

Good frame, nice and tight.
But enough about me. The frame and screen work just fine for what they are. The polyester is a bit cheap making the screen turn whitish gray after a few uses and retain ink (creating shadow images of previous prints) after a few uses but it still functions. The issue is mostly with it being a speedball product. Speedball is functional, but not necessarily quality stuff. I will have to re-frame the screen here in another couple prints (I imagine about stencil number 10) after giving it a good cleaning to be certain that the hazing isn't something that can come out. If that fails to work I will probably buy screen from another place and keep the frame since its pretty solid. Then again the frame is freaking wood so it better be solid! Either way unless you have a place near by that sells printing supplies, this device works just fine.

Great for beginners and experienced screen printers
I have been wanting to learn screen printing for months. I finally got up the courage and ordered this screen along with some Speedball screen printing fabric paint. I am so glad I finally bit the bullet and tried my hand at this. This screen was so easy to use and clean up was a breeze.I’ve only used it once so far but the construction seems very sturdy and should hold up to repeated usage. For anyone wanting to try screen printing I highly recommend this screen

Ottimo prodotto
La speedball offre una gamma davvero di qualità. Questo è molto resistente e funziona alla perfezione: risulta leggero nel manovrarlo e per pulirlo ma anche stabile quando deve stare fermo. Consigliato per chi può fissarlo.
