A reflection of my own life!
The author's story in many ways is a reflection of my own youth. People are not at all living in the presence and only kids do. If you keep on thinking about the future in a fearful and stressful way, when are you going to live, anyway? This is a chronic problem we all have - constantly worrying and imagining things that are, in reality, never going to happen. By the time we realize this, our life would have reached its twilight. It is high time that we start living in the present and filter all our worrying issues to the Spam folder. Here is a book that tells you how - "The past doesn't exist and the future is just a big speculation." It enlightens you starting from how to relax yourself, clear your mind, become mindful, visualize and make a totally new 'you'. The Personal Affirmation Mediation technique was a game-changer.

It’s amazing all the benefits your mind and body obtain from meditation. This is a very well written book on meditation, its benefits and the different types. The author does a beautiful job of helping you understand how to meditate so you can get started right away and reduce the anxiety and stress in your life. The author gives a variety of different types and elements of meditation to suite your lifestyle. I recommend this book for anyone interested in learning how to meditate as it’s a great book for beginners. Thank you Ian for helping me to relax and learn to live a little more stress free!

Complete guide on Meditation
I used to learn meditation while I was in school. It was only TM back then. I wanted to explore different types of meditation techniques (I heard about Buddha meditation via word of mouth previously). So, I got this book. It was a well-written and a very detailed book.It explains some practical meditation techniques instead of the technical ones. I loved it for this reason.The author writes it from a personal view-point which makes it even more interesting. I love reading books where the author personalizes the book instead of just stating the facts. Good book. Mark it as to-Read if you haven't read it already.

Very Solid Book on Meditation
I am someone who has practiced and written on meditation and benefits. I can tell you from personal experience that meditation is key to staying healthy both mentally and physically. I love the fact that the author made it clear the value of meditation to physical health. I don't experience symptoms of colds, flu, headaches have dramatically been reduced, and I live with an overall sense of well-being and peace. I personally practice mindfulness and the Author clearly described the most important elements of the practice.If you are new to or just starting out with meditation, I would recommend you get this book for a comprehensive introduction.

Nice and easy to read. More as a friend to friend conversation, explaining why meditation is a good habit. Less as an expert explaining details of mystery behind it even the history of this ancient technique.

Meditation practical applications in reducing stress and increasing mental clarity
Our daily routines are really stressing from the traffic, supermarket attendant with poor customer care to the Boss who enjoys yelling at you all the time. Trust me we need a time to switch off the worldly routines for our minds to rest and Meditation can give you this assurance.I use meditation to improve my health by reducing stress, so it will help to improve your emotional and mental health as well. This book acts as one of my guidelines to conduct my Meditation and my Yoga sessions

Interesting Look at Various Meditation Techniques
Not a bad read for the curious amongst us thinking about getting in to meditation. This book answers many of the questions the beginner might have. An overview of various ways to practice the discipline including the basics (breathing) through to strange sounding stuff such as personal affirmation meditation and various points in between.A bit more to it than sitting still with your eyes closed and changing “ohm” – a cliché it is not.On sitting still – a feature of the book I did find of particular use and help was the section on correct sitting positions. Not only clearly explained, the inclusion of photographs to give a visual representation of the positions was a big help. No need to try and “imagine” it from the written descriptions. You can see it. Nice touch.What did irritate me a little (and this is just a personal thing) was the dozen or so pages towards the end of the book with the author pushing some of his other books. Nothing wrong with that – a valid marketing tactic – though I do feel it could have been done in a subtler way.As I say, that’s simply a personal opinion. It does not detract from the main purpose of the book - which delivers on what it promises.

Helpful book!
There are a billion books out there on the topic of Meditation and mindfulness. There seems to be a whole campaign or movement around these topics. But I have to tell you that this book really was helpful. You can see that the author is passionate about the topic and wants to deliver value through his books. I really enjoyed reading this book. And learned some new things about meditation. Looking forward to reading other books by the same author.

quite a simple approach to starting meditation
Unfortunately, the book is annoyingly full of mistakes and needs to be seriously edited. It's an extremely short book but covers most types of meditation with explanations for beginners. It takes very little time to read through it but it didn't inspire me to continue studying the subject.

Don't waste your money
This book was awful. It was a lot of the writer talking about himself and not very much about the subject. It didn't teach me anything I didn't know or anything I could use. A waste of money
