An approach different than anything I’ve ever known yet makes the most sense. There is practical yet sustainable help with the wisdom written in these pages. I love how Aundi doesn’t demean emotions yet talks about anxiety, trauma and things like our window of tolerance from the perspective of psychology. She is an intelligent + thoughtful writer. As I’ve read the pages of this book I’ve felt hope about moving toward the connection and joy she speaks of. Thankful for Aundi’s work and I would recommend this book to anyone!

so helpful
thankful for this book and the gentle truths found in it. I was in an abusive relationship a few years ago and found that my unresolved chlidhood trauma along with newer trauma brought me to a really difficult place emotionally. reading this book has helped me be more aware of my body when it's being triggered and work on putting up better boundaries.

Great Book
Knowledgeably and compassionate, the author gives much theoretical and practical advice to be kind to ourselves when facing challenges and for addressing past pain.Really useful read.

A healing balm.
This book feels like a healing balm. I've had severe chronic pain for 20+ years now and I'm realizing how tough I've become in order to deal with it all. There has been no space for softness, compassion, or tenderness. This is the book I've always wanted and needed to read, but wasn't available. It is now. I feel seen and heard and my soul is breathing a sigh of relief. I'm looking forward to implementing all the "try softer" things I've learned into my life. Thank you, Aundi, for writing this book.

Insightful book
I bought this on the recommendation of my cousin - then ended up buying 4 more for other female relatives. It served quite useful in my healing journey especially dealing with attachment issues - specifically calming myself (re-centering) when I'm triggered and anxiety strikes me. I highlighted and underlined and took notes! and I will refer back to it again and again as needed. I highly recommend this if you struggle - even a little bit - with any sort of trigger. It just points out some simple strategies for coping and processing and working your way through those issues that led to your triggers. Very helpful!
