Dont let the appearance scare you
Did not look like the original with anodized nut and spacer on top. Was concerned about that. Thought i may have to move those over from the old one. The black sleeve is the stop. Starter works great. May not look exactly like the old one but works fantastic.

Ordered this starter to replace the starter on my 1985 Johnson 90HP. Everything fit as you would expect, and the starter works flawlessly now. Can’t speak on longevity, but the starter feels just as high quality as oem and I have no doubt it will work for years. Great price, fast delivery, easy install, now I’m headed out on the water

Great buy for the price it fit perfectly
I have to say I was skeptical at first because it was from DB electrical but my Mechanic installed it no problem and wow for the money cheap replacement. Now let's see how long it lasts. Thank you so much for getting me back on the water. will order again if needed as a replacement.
