The theory behind The Xtensor is simple, apply the time tested principles used throughout the exercise science and sports conditioning communities to strengthen and/or rehabilitate muscles, tendons to the muscles that open the hands. Strength and flexibility conditioning improves muscle balance and is the most effective way of maximizing blood flow to muscles and tendons while also improving their overall health and stability. Maximizing blood flow by means of traditional strength conditioning principles delivers vital nutrients necessary to optimize the healing process. Gentle resistance training exercises designed to specifically strengthen the finger extensor muscles that open the hands helps them handle greater amounts of stress, reduce reoccurrence rates and improve finger joint range of motion. Tendonitis in the wrist and elbow has become a very common problem that takes too long to heal having a high frequency of the symptoms reoccurring or just never feeling the same. The flexor muscles in the palm and wrist are continuously exposed to varying amounts of gripping and squeezing giving the muscles that close the hand significant dominance over the muscles that open the hands which originate in the elbow and forearm.

Flashy Product, Poor Craftsmanship
Often the first generation of a new technology has a lot of bugs. And this is the case with the Xtensor. It's a great looking product and it will work your forearm, but the rubber bands both-- slip out of their sockets and break-- so easily that you'll be a lot more annoyed with the manufacturer than you will be strengthened or sore from its use.If I had it to do again, I'd pass. But if you do decide to purchase this overpriced piece of plastic, do yourself a favor: go to the manufacturer's website (the only place you can get them) and buy a couple of packets of replacement bands straight away because you're definitely going to need them. I needed replacement bands within the first 10 days of use.

Hand extender
Looked great on video. No instruction with package. Does not provide equal strength to each finger.

not worth it
it is too difficult for a person with tactile impairment to use and the bands do not stay in pace

The Extensor has cheap bands
I just got this and snapped 3 bands within a couple days of using. I was just extending my fingers and holding for 30-45 seconds within a day or 2 the bands start snapping. My fingers don't fit in the small holes so I don't have any large hole bands left. The exercise felt great when it worked. If the rubber bands didn't snap it would be 4-5 starts easily.
