The Real Deal
Complete Iron Palm is a very well written and illustrated book. The author has extensive knowledge on "true" iron palm. I emphasize true, because I have some training from a true master; and I'm aware that there are many frauds. Proper conditioning takes several years to achieve results, but is well worth the time spent. The results are a gradual toughening of the bone and tissues, with no scarring or deformity of the hands. There is no fictitious "cooking" of the hands. Proper training is painless. The only visible change to the hands, will be a thickening. Complete sensitivity will be retained. The results are hands that can easily break wood, brick and stone. Iron Palm is however, not intended for breaking for show. It is a powerful weapon in the self defense arsenal, where even blocks with the conditioned hands can achieve devestating results on the adversary. 5 stars to Brian Gray, for a well written, and easy to follow book on this former secret art.

Not a bad beginners book.
Well first off I want to say that this book is okay for a beginner who knows nothing about Iron Palm. It does explain some techniques and gives some ideas as to why it was so secretive for so long. It also shows some chi kung / chi gung / breathing exercises. Con, it shows only a few chi kung exercises, only few Iron Palm drills, and summarizes how breaking plays a role in Iron Palm. However, it does have general commentary that I found to be helpful for people who might not know about Iron Palm. Bottom line, this book should have been labeled Iron Palm for Dummies, or better still Beginners Iron Palm, but complete? I bought this book to get an idea of how other Sifu / Shih Fu and other schools practice and what kinds of chi kung postures they use, but instead I have an Iron Palm 101 book, so if you are looking for a place to start this would be it, if you are looking for something that shows how other schools might differ in training or exercise, this book isn't it.

Very Good
I am lazy.I knew about iron palm and its potential, its effects before I was 18.I have other manuals in Chinese. Some were written by a respectable master, no Americans heard of.The problem was, my Chinese is bad, understanding the instructions was difficult.Don't knock this book down. All the instructions are in the book.Yes I bought it, Yes I read it now for the first time in 2016. Could have bought it and read it when first published, when first saw his articles in Kung Fu Magazine, but I was too lazy and also too poor. Now I have a sifu who gave short instructions on iron fist. The training is not the same, but the ideas are the same. This book stated the following: the time periods needed, practice time needed, when to practice, when not to practice, what not to do.The length of time to change mediums, the tools to use.The instructions in this book are complete.I dare say those words because, again, I have other manuals. And good manuals are thin and don't have many pages. If every reader has discipline and completes the tasks on schedule, and accomplish the "trick"The POLICE wants their name so they can identify who can make injuries from Iron Palm.

Complete Iron Palm Is A Great Primer
As the author of this book, I find that the only person, of the four reviews that I have read, who got it was Randolph Vaasen. This book was not to be the end of it, but the beginning of a series of books on the subject. In order to properly learn the complete Iron Palm Skills, one must begin with the basics, which this book covers completely. This book is followed by The Advanced Iron Palm book, which takes the practitioner to the next level. I apologize that this book had vital material left out by the publishers, and for years they refused to do anything about it. Those who ordered from my website at [...] were given the missing parts. The third book in this series is Applied Iron Palm. This book takes the practitioner from merely being able to break bricks and shows them how to apply the ancient skill in self-defense. If you want to know when this book will be available, call Dave Cater, editor of Inside Kung Fu magazine. The fourth book in the series, Grandmaster Brian Gray's Iron Palm Form, will teach the practitioner advanced theory through a form that I choreographed for my students. This book will be advanced theory, and if a person has not studied the first three, this book will be too difficult to grasp. Hopefully, by understanding what I have just written, the reviewers on this page will change their minds and come to realize that the first book was not the last on the subject. Brian Gray, Author

Very Straight-Forward and Easy to Understand
I'll be honest... I didn't follow all of the instructions because I didn't feel like investing in some expensive dit da jow or making some of my own. If you feel like doing that, then this book will be a lot more helpful to you. It's a good book for showing you how to point out fakes and it has plenty of good conditioning techniques etc...I do propose this question though: if this was the COMPLETE iron palm, why did he write a second book on iron palm?

Complete Iron Palm
In my opinion the book is well writen for such a lack of pages. It explains how to condition the hands for iron palm, but it does not tell the secrets to the art it self. This itself is a waste ,though it does give a great insite in spotting fakes and there ways of proforming there unbeleviable breaks. This is deffinately helpful when picking out a teacher in this almost imposible art. It also gives pointers in how to breake and what is the best to use in the breaking process. It iself as a whole is almost the best biggeners book on the art.

Complete garbage
Completely useless. Don't buy this book. It describes absolutely nothing. Don't waste your money. There's a reason it's cheap like this.
