Fun, simple game for any age
I have purchased this before, but it was larger and more than twice as expensive. This was priced right and intrigues all ages. The spring is pretty stiff so it takes some work to get all the little “apples” into the base to start the game. The rules are so simple that almost any age can play it. I put it out at a party for kids but soon their parents were also wanting to try! Good purchase at a very reasonable price.

Excellent quality.
Love that everything is wood. Painted finish is great. I have two grandsons 4 and 8 who prefer games with chaos over strategy and this game provides a little of both. They’ll actually play this one over and over at one sitting which is rare for them.

Absolutely adorable and fun for all ages
Really well made. Beautifully painted and smooth pieces. Great colors and the game is different each time you play plus changes throughout the game as pieces move. It's a lot of fun for the kids and adults. Have 33 apples which makes for a quick game for kids, not too long. I love it

Fun game, but may need an adult to help set up
I remember playing this game as a kid and having fun with it. This game is made out of wood, and even the spring seems very durable as if this game will last a long time. I have a 2 and a 4 year old, so they definitely need my help holding the spring part back in order to load in the apples. It's a simple game that even young kids can understand how to play. No need to keep points if you don't want to. The springing action when the apples pop out may be scary at times for younger children. The game has a wonderful appearance, and it is painted well. It does not seem like the paint will chip off anytime soon.My only complaint is the shape of the box with the rounded top. I would rather have the game in a regular square box. Even the instructions were bent upon opening the box because of the curve.

Love it!
My 2 year old and 5 year old love this game! It is very cute and they both have lots of fun playing it. The 2 year old definitely needs some help understanding the rules, but it's simple enough that she can play too with guidance from us. My only possible complaint is that it's pretty hard for the 5 year old to set up on his own. It takes big hands and strength to pull the level back and hold it in place to put the pegs in. Might be a nice additional feature if they had a lock mechanism so that it could be pulled back and held in place to aid with set up. That said, it's not a big deal and my kiddo can't set up many games on his own yet, like games with cards that need shuffled. The game is very simple but fun and everyone caught on right away. Would be a great gift for a preschooler.

Not that fun...sorry
My kids just don't gravitate to this game, sorry. Maybe it's because they are girls who are a bit more...genteel, but the thought of being snapped by an apple smasher just doesn't appeal to them. They haven't wanted to play it at all.

Very fun, but for younger kids
This is a great game, and really nice quality. It's all wood with a spring and feels handmade co.pared to mass-produced plastic games.I like that it is a very simple concept for just about any kid to understand, but it's still fun all the same. However, it is usually pretty obvious visually which "apples" to pick safely, which doesn't make it as fun for older kids that are better at thinking logically. For younger kids, though, this is super fun. I've very glad I got this game.

Quality wood game
The media could not be loaded. I liked the overall play of this game. Each person picks an apple and tries not to move bar. It's can be difficult to really see if the bar moved a little. It caused a bit of your when the kids played. The bigger the apple, the more the points. The apple board and pieces look and feel high quality. However, the box is not that good. The top of the box doesn't reach to the bottom so it always feels not closed. Also, the paper cover is peeling off. The kids lost interest pretty quick after only two games.
