Mike Tyson - The Release of Power

THE MOST EXCITING FIGHTER OF ALL TIME
a book about the most exciting fighter who ever lived, that was released around the time when the world was seemingly holding its breath in excitement& anticipation regarding the return of a terrific fighter. sadly history shows the expectation of iron mikes dominance was misplaced. at an age where he could have had a good 5 or 6 six years at the top had he returned to rooney, lott, cayton, baranski& co, he chose to stick with the scum who had ruined his career&life in the space of 2years, rather than return to the folks that loved him&made the special fighter he was. definitely an opportunity lost. what a story it could have&should have been, had he returned to the folks who reared him.

Very interesting read
Mike Tyson is one of those people that the public just cannot get enough of. His meteoric rise to the top of the heavyweight division gave him too much, too young - and his life never really recovered. A good book written by an authority on the sport. Certainly an excellent insight into Tyson, who could have ruled the division for a decade had he kept the right people around him.

Out of date but still worth reading for boxing and Mike Tyson fans!
It is now very out of date as I remember buying the original publication of this book back in 1996. But it does a great job of captivating the reader in describing Tyson's every fight up until Peter McNeeley in 1995.Worth grabbing if you don't mind the book concluding up to a certain point of the youngest heavyweight champion's career.
