Bitter Melon is not just for Diabetes, Acne, PCOS..
I ordered Bitter Melon supplentnfor a few reasons, insuffer from PCOS, Interstitial Cystitis and Endometorisos as well as hypothyroidism (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) and after having a hysterectomy and having only one remaining ovary, I gained weight without trying. Because PCOS is an endocrine disorder you are prone to develop Diabetes. I have become insulin resistant which caused me to gain a lot of weight around my midsection. I am in my thirties and just want to not feel so tired and fatigued. I wanted to find a way to control my insulin (I am not a diabetic yet and if you are do not replace this with your medication please!) with diet and supplements. Not only does Bitter Melon donthat but it also helps AID in weight loss as well as adult acne that comes along with PCOS. It's a win win situation all together. I have stopped taking my doxycycline and my husband has even noticed my skin looking nicer. I have rosacea and it doesn't even bother that! I trust BulkSuppments because they have no sugar, soy, gluten, lactose in them. You can also purchase their empty capsules and measure out the dosages you need and mix products to fit into one capsule. I do use the loose product and mix it in a drink however and just drink it. For me it's easier.

Natural appetite suppressant & energy booster
I purchased the Bitter Melon (otherwise known as goya, balsam pear, bitter gourd, or karela) to try for a variety of reasons. The best use I’ve found for this supplement/powder is that it seems to be an effective appetite suppressant. It tastes okay mixed with honey as a tea (my favorite way to use it). However, you must use a very small dose (no more than 1/4 tsp) per cup. It is indeed very bitter! Larger amounts can cause indigestion or stomach upset, too - if you ingest too much on an empty stomach, it can also cause a headache. The second best thing about this supplement I’ve noticed is that it seems to be a natural energy booster. It’s not like caffeine, more like the energy boost one gets from drinking a cup of matcha green tea. (But I actually prefer drinking a green tea matcha than the bitter melon tea).I am looking for and have noticed benefits re: skin health, lowered cholesterol, and regulating blood sugar including improved digestion; it is said that regular use also provides an anti-inflammatory benefit due to a high Vitamin K content and also that it is a good source of dietary fiber.

Antioxidant & Antibacterial Benefits
Bitter melon has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat type 2 diabetes. It protects the pancreas, improves insulin resistance, and lowers blood lipids.Bitter melon may be helpful for parasites, intestinal worms, stomach pain or colic with constipation. It has antibacterial, anticancer, antidiabetic, antioxidant, antiviral and bitter properties. Usually, bitter tasting herbs and fruits are very helpful for your digestive system. This powder isn't particularly pleasant tasting, but it can be encapsulated and used in various health supplements. I used it in a detoxifying, anti-inflammatory pain relief supplement, with a variety of other helpful herbs.Unfortunately, the bag that the powder comes in is terrible, as is all Bulk Supplements bags. I had to put the bag in my own airtight bag, which shouldn't be necessary. You can also switch the powder into a glass container.

Good Diabetes Supplement
This stuff has lowered my blood sugar within two days. My blood sugar was running from 160 to 220. Now my blood sugar range from 87 to 155. I have been tracking my blood sugar daily to see what foods impact my blood sugar negatively...fried foods will make it jump up and take longer to go down. So, if you like fried foods, please eat them in moderation. I really appreciate Amazon providing effective and economical supplements to help people with health problems. Doctors will never recommend a supplement like bitter melon and some diabetes medicines that medical professionals promote have too many side effects. One more thing, bitter melon taste is neutral not bitter at all.

DO NOT TASTE IT WHEN YOU OPEN IT
Powder is very fine so it appears that it may blend up well. It is not bitter at all. It has a rotten meat aftertaste after you taste the powder directly. I see why some reviews say they add honey..I haven't blended it up in anything yet. My best advise is DO NOT TASTE it right from package! Mix directly in smoothie and hope you don't taste it! Yuck

Like this very much!
I drink green tea daily and like to add a flavor to it for variety. I heard about Bitter Melon Extract and decided to try it. It gives a nice fruity flavor to my tea which I like. It's also recommended for fat metabolism, blood sugar stability, and as a source of calcium. I was glad to see that Bulk Supplements offered the product since I've purchased from them before and have always found their products to be high quality.

It is one of the most foul tasting thing I've ever tasted
Product had zero effect on blood sugar. It is one of the most foul tasting thing I've ever tasted ; tastes nothing like either variety of Bitter Melon, After looking at the reviews for this product more closely it appears that many of them are fraudulent; i.e. - Americans do not use a term like 'dear ones' in writing a review. Many of the positive reviews were very veige, such as, 'works great' or 'love it'. The phoniest reviews state that the B.M. extract , stops aches and pains', 'have more energy', 'stops bacteria from entering my body'... YIKES people will say and do anything for a buck. Save your money; go to an Asian store and buy the actual Bitter Melon!

Zero, zit, zip % effective...
Zero, zit, zip % effective... don't waste your money in this product. I tried in the recommended dose but after not getting any results I doubled, then tripled and at last by the rounded teaspoon like instant coffee and Nada, no effect on glucose level.. multiple test strips spent testing to see any changes but detected only typical variations w/o taking anything.
