Well engineered, would buy again!
Fits in my car’s driver side cupholder with the cup holder’s rubber insert removed. Takes about 30 minutes until the light goes green. I’ve used it three times a day in my 2005 Ford Focus for a couple of months, and am very happy with it. The tip end of the plug gets extremely hot by the time the light goes green, and then cools fairly quickly, but until it does you need to be careful what it comes in contact with... hot enough to melt the fibers of my car’s carpeting! The heating coil is exposed inside so the unit should only be used to heat plain water. I use distilled water, so have experience zero mineral deposit buildup on the coil. Well engineered product, highly recommended.Edit: I bought another for a friend, and the tip of the plug doesn’t make contact in his ‘91 Toyota MR2. I bought him the $12 Bestek 150 watt splitter with two cigarette lighter outputs and two USB outlets, problem solved. He uses all the outputs, cell phones in the USB’s, and the other cigarette lighter port has the Drok $12 volt meter/thermometer I had bought him with the kettle. If you’re going to try using the kettle without running the engine at the same time get that volt meter, both he and I love it!! A car battery is actually 12.6 volts nominal, and leaving the battery sitting around for long periods at <12.4 volts causes sulphation. (Edit: sulfation is the correct spelling, not sulphation.)2nd Edit: The plug started coming apart when I’d pull it from the socket while still hot. I replaced it with a much better plug, I’m just about certain I’ll never have a problem with the plug again. Carviya 16 AWG cigarette lighter adapter power supply cord (Amazon $8,) Irwin Vise-Grip wire stripping (and crimping) tool (Amazon $8,) 16/18 AWG blue, insulated crimp butt connectors (25/$2.50 from Home Depot.)

heats in 10-15 min
Have had this unit for 10 days now. Can't speak to it's long term durability, but it took a tumble off a 4 ft high shelf and is still working. I am using the unit in a truck (tractor-trailer), so if it makes it to the end of the year I will update this review with a sixth star. Over-the-road trucking is hard on all equipment. Stuff like this is often cheaply made, and fails quickly. This unit appears to buck that trend. Seems well made, heats coffee to piping hot in 10-15 min. When it is heating, the little light near the cord is red. When it reaches max tempuerature it turns green. Coffee is hot enough to drink well before the light turns green. I am very happy with how well it works (so far). Haven't done the conversion from 750ml to fluid oz, but it holds about two regular size (think Starbucks tall) cups of coffee.

Works well, use caution
I bought this for a cross country road trip. I used it 3/4x a week for 7 weeks and it worked great. The water does boil so be careful. Only negatives are water will leak through the spout without depressing the toggle and although it technically fits my cup holder it bends the cord so I’m wary it will ruin the cord after a time.As I was on a trip backpacking I could not return. I am just mindful when I use. Not sure if this is a manufacturer issue or I got a bad one.Well made, like that the cord is sturdy as is the plug.If I could fix the seal it would be 5 stars.

Compare with RoadPro 20oz Hot Pot
I really want to like this product because it's stainless steel interior compare to RoadPro's plastic.... but main reason I'm returning this is the plug heats up too much I'm afraid to plug in to my car to test. I worried it will burn the fuse to the only 12v outlet i have in my car, so I use a 12v 10 amp battery to test this.Pros:- stainless steel exterior and clean looking- stainless steel interior for healthier drink (see image: interior bottom is not flat, would be difficult to clean for people boiling other than water)- 12v and 10 amps, 600ml water takes 15 minute to heat to slightly-burn-your-tongue-if-drink-too-quickly temperature. (did not test how long to boiling point)- the top lid screw tightly and double wall construction have some insulation propertiesCons:- the plug heats so much in 5 minute, it is hot to touch. 15 minute will burn your finger and hear some buzzing sound from plug area. I think this will either eventually burn your fuse or the unit itself will burn out in few use....- there will be few drop of water in the bottle no matter how hard you shake the bottle upside down (shake both up and down & left to right violently), i can not get the water out..... (see image)- this unit takes about 20% more energy than RoadPro, I tested twice with same result.- the plastic on the top looks pretty cheap and rough, but it's not a big dealFinally, I decided to keep the uglier and unhealthier plastic RoadPro 20oz hot pot for a peace of mind that nothing will be burn down in my car while boiling water. RoadPro and this unit holds about same amount of water even though RoadPro looks bigger and bulkier... RoadPro's plug also gets hot also but not nearly as hot as this unit, I will not worry about it burning my car's fuse. Anybody want to check out RoadPro 20oz hot pot, please note it will not fit into any cup holder, it's huge!Again, really really want to like this unit... but fortunately I have to return this unit... It's sad...
