You get what you pay for
Lesson in reading the description CAREFULLY. Described as 8 mm x 7mm, and if you use these, you know that the grip length is the important one. you need enough, but usually you get a screw set slightly shorter, so that you compress the materials you are joining together when you tighten it down. These turned out to be shorter than described, should have been 0.276 inches, were 0.238, about 13 % under size. If you use these with kydex, they would be about perfect for 4 layers of .060 or 3 of .080, so not a problem for me but if you want the full size of 7 mm, you may need a longer screw. screw thread tolerance is loose, so careful tightening. finish looks okay, but not great.

Solid and durable - an excellent purchase!
To be honest, I wasn't expecting to be very satisfied with these studs/Chicago screws. But the price was low and they were offered on Prime, so I figured I'd give them a shot. I am so happy I did. These are a whole lot higher quality than I expected. Solid construction and seem to be really durable. I've gone through about a dozen of them so far (I've been using to attach leather straps/handles to bags) and none have been defective.I typically use a tiny dab of a glue like H3000 on the screw back rivets used on my bags, but I skipped that step on the rivets used on the prototype bag I've been carrying for the last week or so (it's a big bag and I carry a lot in it) and when I checked the rivets last night, they were all still as secure as the day I installed them. That said, these have passed the test and will be used on the bags I make and sell - although, I will probably use glue for a more permanent attachment on the bags for my customers.

Perfect!!
I bought these to fix a pair of boots that had what looked like these as an added bit of flair. Perfect match in color and size. My other option was to remove the decorative straps and other three gunmetal grey round studs.I looked high and low at craft stores to try to figure out what those things were. I had no success. But these looked like it and I took the plunge. I only needed one but I am ready should another come off. These are "new" boots. I know a place that sell returns from department stores. They are good about describing the problem and then the buyer can decide if they want to adopt the pair of shoes or boots for the price listed plus shipping. When I first saw these I thought "take everything off" or "attach strap with super glue". I am so glad I did it the right way. They need a bit of style. This pair of boots was much easier than the one I bought last year. Last year I had to fix a zipper. It looked easy enough. It was a pain in the rear until I decided to read up on the subject. Then it was fixed in no time. Now I have sweet boots for less that one would pay at Target. Boots are addictive. Don't follow me down this dark path.

Some minor flaws in machining but a good product, overall...
Received the items in excellent condition. As others have pointed out, I found that the screws tended to be a little loose when screwed in to the bases; something a little bit of glue or LOCTITE should solve. I also found that a few of the screw heads were a little crooked (not exactly square with the bases). Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. I might add that they offer prompt and reliable customer service, in English, which is a distinctive plus when ordering items from Chinese suppliers.

As good if not better than Tandy Leathercraft Chicago screws.
These Chicago screws are flat and about 2/3 the size of those sold by Tandy Leathercraft. At first I was wondering how well they would work, but now that I have used them I find that I like them better for those very reasons. They enhance the way the leather pieces are fastened together, and by using them instead of rivets allow my leather projects to be adjustable (if need be). Their flat style makes it less likely anything will snag when other pieces are slide across them, and I think they give my work a more professional appearance overall.

Steel leather screws, not so bad
Made of steel, plated with something, half of them would not thread together, I had to clean the threads with a tap. These may rust, as ferrous metal usually does. I thought they were brass, but maybe I didn't look very close to really find out. Steel is real, its strong, so if you use them on leather that does not get sweat or moisture, probably no issues, but steel is super strong so you wont break them I imagine. Once threads are cleaned up and working, they seem like a pretty good quality. The gold color is nice too, not sure how many microns of plating it is. You will get flakes of gold when installing them, seems normal for such a plate system. Maybe made over seas in Asia?

Work pretty good but it's hard to get them tight
In order for them to work their best they need to be tight and it's hard to do that. Finally found a way but it's not easy. Also would recommend they come up with diff shaft/post lengths. Update been finding some screws with no threads. Just 2 so far but haven't used them up yet am expecting to find more.

The quality is fine, but the description of the size leaves much ...
I was dissappointed in these screws. The quality is fine, but the description of the size leaves much to be desired. They were much smaller than I had anticipated, and therefore not useful to me. Some dimensions are given in millimeters, but it is not clear what part of the set the dimensions are referring to. It would be much better if there was a drawing with the dimensions clearly marked.
