SPANX Bra-llywood Hills Side Slimming Bra

I purchased this from Sole Place and they were terrific and fast. I would order from them again. This bra, however, I would never order again. I love Spanx bras and was thrilled to see adjustable, slightly thinner straps which look like they are a little farther to the sides for open and/or lower necklines. The straps are indeed easily adjustable. The back closure is a little different than the usual bra in that it is flatter and a little difficult to close or open but it's a plus if you don't want that smooth look. The fit, for me, was not ideal. The Bra-llywood Hills Underwire Bra 1499 is true to Spanx size and looks great in the front. I loved the way the straps were farther apart so they wouldn't show when I wore wrap dresses or summer dresses with open necks. Then I looked in the mirror at the sides and back of this bra. There is a gap under the arms in the back (bottom of the strap area) unless the straps are worn more toward the neck, more so than my original Spanx bras. These gaps show under clothing. The U-shape of this bra in the back makes me think of a sports bra. Perhaps it's my shape but I truly dislike the fit and am greatly disappointed. This bra would probably be fine with T shirts or sweaters but not with summer T's or dresses that are more open. It's just not my kind of fit but perhaps it will work for you. I suggest seeing a picture of the back before purchasing.

At some point, I want to try this bra again, maybe in a different size or maybe I'll be a different size. Was fascinated with this bra's construction and that it aimed to be a Side-Slimming Bra, which is exactly what I wanted. Clearly, a lot of thought went into making this a bra that would minimize and slim. But the straps were much too short - maybe that was unique to that particular bra and not on all of them. I have never tried on a bra in my correct size that had such short straps - it was a mistake at some level of production. Then, on closer look, the fabric was no better than others I've seen, even at Target. The price, however, was high end. It was a second at best (if a woman with such a body exists), and way overpriced at worst. However, I do hope they keep at it and get the styling right. It was what I wanted, they just hadn't perfected it yet - I hope. A for Effort, F for production.

I love the spanx brand. This is my first spanx bra. I bought the 34B, my usual size and the fit was nice and comfortable. There is absolutely no difference on the side-slimming from any other bra I have! I wouldn't recommend this bra, other than as a comfortable bra. It is not particularly attractive and expensive for what it is.

I have been wearing Spanx bras for years now and love them. Based on previous reviews, I thought I would try the Bra-llywood Hills version because of the adjustable straps. It did not work for me. The embedded hooks were impossible to fasten without help, the straps gapped in back something awful and the overall fit was extremely uncomfortable, not at all the weightless feel that I have come to expect from Spanx. I returned the bra and will re-order my good-old-standby, the Bra-llelujah.

I was hesitant to spend so much money on a bra, but the quality more than makes up for it. I typically like a padded bra because I am to very big busted, but the support that this one provides pretty much gives the same result. What I love is that it fits perfectly. No slipping out of place, straps falling, or buldges on the side or back. As a note, I have also tried several other Spanx bras, and this is the hands down best of their line (for girls with smaller busts- b-cup).

I wear only SPANX Bra-llywood bras and have so for years. This 'side-slimming' bra is cut smaller, and when I tried it on, I couldn't get it around me even though I bought the same size I always wear. I had to send it back and order what I always wear, my ole' faithful standby kind w/the closures in the front. What's the saying --- if what you have works, don't change it.

I have to return this item because it's way too small! The cup size fits, I can't close the bra in the back. I am normally always a 34C, but in this case I guess I should have ordered a 36-38C?

After over 50 years of bras, this one wins over all the others. It is extremely comfortable and soooo smooth. Great look under thin fabrics. It cost more than any bra I ever purchased, but after getting the nude color, I immediately ordered the black. I am spoiled for life and will never return to cheap imitations!
