Feel Cooler Cooling Mattress Pad (Twin)

I have slept on a Tempur-pedic mattress for about a year now, and while I love it, I was noticing how my back and backside would get EXTREMELY hot at night. So hot, in fact, that I'd wake up in the middle of the night because of it. And I'm generally a pretty good sleeper. I tried putting some random mattress cover on the mattress, to see if that would help, but it made no difference. I was at my wits' end, so I bought this thing. At $100+, it better work, I thought! The 30-day guarantee convinced me, despite the two negative reviews.I opened it immediately upon receiving it, and I must say I didn't notice any kind of smell. And I was looking for it, after reading these reviews. I even sniffed it. :)I put it on the mattress right away, and awaited sleepy time. Finally, the moment of truth came. I got in bed. It seemed ok. Not ridiculously cold or anything. ANd lo and behold, I slept through the night. I didn't feel overly hot at all. And the next night, it was the same, and the next, and the next. I think I've had it for about a week now, and I have to say, I'm convinced. This thing works! I dont know what it is--maybe it's the cotton. But I dont even care. I'm happy.I have yet to wash it. Maybe I'll update my post when I do. But for now, I'm sleeping cool and happy.EDITED REVIEW (9/8/13)I wanted to update my review because I finally washed this and it COMPLETELY fell apart. I followed the directions--wash in cold on gentle, tumble dry on medium. It survived the washed intact (I have an old school washer), but when I dried it, parts of it melted, leaving patched and holes. The thing is worthless now. I almost wish I'd washed it when i first got it, so I could have returned it right away, although who knows, the seller (Cooling Mattress.com) might not have given me a refund. I've emailed them today hoping there's some kind of warranty on this stupid product, but I'm not hopeful.SAVE YOUR MONEY. Don't buy this worthless piece of junk.And to be completely honest about the cooling effect of this thing, after a while, I did notice that I was still sleeping hot. The days I was cooler, it must've just been cool in the house. This thing doesn't work the way they say it does.

The good: Its very comfortable, cool at first, and did not have a bad odor when first out of its bag. The bad: Expensive (for what it does)!!! Stay cool for about one hour. The more I think about it the more I get mad at myself for not returning it, but that is my own fault not the company that makes the product and definitely NOT Amazon's.

Bought for someone else who sleeps hot on a Tempurpedic. This does help, although it also ends up hot by morning. However, it prevents a lot of tossing & turning to find cold spots.

Product did not keep me cool. I used it over a 4in memory foam mattress topper. We have had the hottest summer in 30 years and was looking for some cooling as the mattress topper stores and keeps your body heat. I might have noticed a slight change but not enough to pay 100 dollars for the product

My husband lives with M.S. Body temp. is difficult to maintain, sleeping comfortably almost impossible. Cooling Mattress Pad allows him to sleep through the evening without heating up his body. Best purchase I have made for this problem. Thanks!

I bought this for my husband hoping it would keep him cool as he gets hot at night. It's been about 3 weeks now and he just loves it. Wish we had this years ago.
