Butt joints 1/2" polyethylene foam like it's one piece. Wish the sticks were smooth.
Polyethylene isn't easy to glue and this stuff does the job. PE to PE. PE to sheet metal. PE to wood.I got a quality 200 watt high temp gun and that delivers the glue nice and liquid. Makes the joint every time.The bumpy finish on the sticks is an aggravation. Sometimes the clamp that advances the stick won't slip back over the stick without some help. Not the end of the world but it requires some work around.It does a job that I was at a loss to do so I can't complain too much.

Good but room for improvement
These are some nice strong glue sticks but trouble getting several glue guns to work with them due to a rough texture on the outside of the sticks.

Glue Guns and the Glue was Getting stuck all the Time** in Both Glue Guns** Imposable to Use !!!--- But if you can getti to go thru. the Glue Guns The Glue itself is Awesome!!!____Both of My Brand New 50.00 ** Glue Guns would Not work with this Glue at All** ___ I love The Glue But it just Not Work well ** In my Glue Guns*** because They are NOT ROUND!** Not Smooth!!I will not Buy Again**

Difficult to use
While it’s the strongest, hot glue gun glue, I’ve used, it’s so difficult to get it to push through the glue gun, that I stopped using the trigger, and just ended up, twisting and pushing and twisting and pushing the glue stick some more to use it

Didn't work
I purchased these super glue sticks because it stated it sticks to glass. Well, it doesn't. very disappointed in this product. I had to purchase a 50.00 plus heavy glue gun in order to use these heavy duty glue sticks that were meant to adhere to glass. And it doesn't at all. Dries in big white clumps and doesn't stick to glass.

Strong as hell but good luck using it
These glue sticks are, as the packaging boasts, extremely strong. However, the rough, irregular shape of the sticks means you'll be struggling to get them through your gun at all, and you'll only be using them as long as your patience holds out.
